Is there a seating plan for this? I don't quite understand the lay out . As looks like only 3 stands are available (no mention of the South Stand) but I know from going up there recently that the blocks listed for the West Stand are some of the blocks for away fans ie right up the end by the South stand. So seems a bit odd if the ring is on the centre circle not to have opened up the south where at least you'd be looking straight on at the ring rather than those blocks in the corner.

I'm no expert on the ground obviously so may be missing something.

Unless of course they're holding back the whole South Stand for Selby fans.....

prices are quite reasonable.

I just spoke to my lad to see if he was going to buy them today as he is a season ticket holder. Being a friend of Warrington tickets are sorted, so hopefully have some decent pitch seats for the fight.

I know it's the first set of tickets on offer and VIP etc still need to be released but I agree with other comments, they're priced extremely well. I really do think this will sell well. They've for 1/4 of the season remaining to really push this at Elland Road and that's just to Leeds fans. Not excluding others for fighters from different areas on the undercard etc.

I'd be majorly surprised if this passes without riots if Warrington loses.

Ive been going to Elland Rd for years (Leeds are my English team) and to be fair I've not seen that much bother. But the atmosphere at most of Warringtons fights looks pretty hairy. All it takes is one idiot for it all to kick off and the idiots will be out in force that night. I can see it boiling over.

I can see it being a close fight as well so we might well get a decision the majority in the ground don't agree with. I think Warringtons camp have timed this well. Selby has looked completely dead at the weight for a long time now where as Warrington has been getting stronger. I haven't been impressed with Selby since he won the title and Gradovich wasn't anything special anyway. Ability wise Selby is levels above but he could get out worked here. I can see it being a tough fight to score.

He's had a poor reign.

I’m from Wales and follow Selby quite a lot.
I’m giving this one a swerve. Can see this being the catalyst of rampaging Leeds fans worldwide.
Similar scenario to Johnson-Jeffries. Lynched Welshmen on the Pennines as a warning to others.

I hope Selby is getting paid well for this because if ever I can see a home crowd influencing the judges it would be this one! They'll raise the roof every time Josh throws a punch for sure. I do rate Selby though and this could be the making of him, if he's not fazed by the atmosphere and isn't weakening himself too much making the weight I think he will win, maybe even by ko.

Now thats a call :bag:

There's no way that it doesn't kick off at Elland Road.

a bullsh!t decision? if warrington makes it to the final bell standing and isn't given the nod I'd give it evens on a riot.

Fight fans will be able to tune in free-to-air on allegedly this Friday night at 7.45pm to watch the heated ‘Face-to-Face’ premiere between IBF world champion Lee Selby and undefeated Leeds favourite Josh Warrington.

The pair will clash in a much anticipated featherweight contest from Leeds United’s famous Elland Road on May 19th and have already lit the blue touch paper as they sat down with allegedly commentator John Rawling to analyse their sizzling summer showdown.

Airing free on allegedly, Sky Channel 437, viewers will be able to get a unique glimpse ahead of the contest as both men looked to gain the upper hand as they exchanged verbal blows.

A little snippet..

“If I got up now and chinned you, you would be sleeping, trust me,” Selby tells Warrington at one point before Rawling interjects and asks him not to do that.

“If you would have stepped in with Oscar Valdez, Leo Santa Cruz, Carl Frampton they all beat you and I beat you,” Warrington says.

“I would beat any of the fighters you’ve faced and I wouldn’t be put on my backside,” Warrington adds.

“You sure?” Selby quips. “I’m 100% positive,” Warrington responds.

Be an interesting watch, can't help but feel things like this should be shown on BT as well. Continues to open up the fight to the more casual viewers.

Any idea how many tickets they've shifted now?

Having just looked at the seating plan from memory of what was originally available and what now is, they've sold out quite a few blocks so must have done some pretty good numbers.

What is it with eveybody on this forum being terrified of Leeds fans?

There are idiots at every boxing event in the country, regardless of what city. Leeds is no different than any other city in the UK.
