It's very frustrating, but at least we've just had two barnstormers in Alexander-Takaloo and Haye-Thompson. All four of these guys are prepared to try and prove they're the best.

TV compaines need to put there foot down and demand these fights. maybe barnes will get stripped if his team cant make the fight for whatever reason.

Hare was always way too advanced for Barnes. It's the same old story, keep the good fights 'in' till the tickets are gone, then the truth comes out.

But not on October 1, one assumes...

In this month's Boxing Monthly, there is an interview with barnes where he is quite clear that he was preparing to meet Vincent, so I'd hesitate to criticise him for this. I have it on good authority that this fight will be taking place before the end of the year. Thought that it was a headliner on its own anyway.

I think most of the criticisms is constructive, most of us here would like to see Haye to well. So us "slagging" him and other fighters off are should benefit him in the long term.

Christ these are fighters, if they are so diva ish that they cannot take criticism, then they have chosen the wrong game.

Besides, I would say 3/4 of the criticism of fighters on this forum relates to fighters (i.e. Calzaghe) not stepping up to the plate.

I have full respect for the likes of Haye and Skelton for stepping it up when a relative novice, both have recieved some criticism but it is constructive. Sure some have raised the question of Haye's chin, its a valid argument and maybe Haye should focus on his defence to counter act this problem.

I wouldn't think this is slagging him off.

Audley Harrison on the other hand has been hand feed bums, untested or over the hill fighters for over two years now - he has been slagged off, but its only because he is acting more like a diva than a fighter.
