Who are/were some fighters who just can't take a punch?

Jimmy Thunder had the not so affectionate nickname "The Chinless Adonis"

Seth Mitchell obviously couldn't take a shot too well at all.

I'm trying to think of other guys. Some guys it's more a combination of their stamina, and just leaky defense, but there's some guys that you can wobble with even glancing blows those are the guys I'd consider to be true "Glass jaw" type guys. Anybody can be knocked out, but if you can wobbled or dropped by even light shots then you got a glass jaw my friend.

Amir Khan is the only one who comes to mind at the moment.

Oh, his countryman David Price.

Oh wait, their other countryman, Audley Harrison had a doozy of a China Chin.

I'm not picking on Brits. They just quickly come to mind.

I think Roy Jones had one. But he hid it well during his prime.

Well, he's significantly shopworn --and possibly (and thankfully) retired, but I can't think of a professional fighter that has been on the mat more times than Danny Williams.

Yeah. He showed an awful lot of heart a ton of times, and kept on going, but he sure wasn't too hard to hurt was he?

Bruce Seldon was knocked out in 7 of his 8 fights, and went down EXTREMELY easy against Tyson. To the point that you could say he just collapsed out of fear which is probably true.

He also went down in 1 to Bowe.

His one-armed KO of Mark Potter - and being in too much pain to celebrate, was as much heart as you can ever see in a ring.

With no footage available of him fighting, and no one around that saw him first hand, he's an anti-Greb of sorts.

I almost hesitate to say it because it's another Brit, but Herbie Hide should be high on any list of glass jaws.

Not as bad as Audley's, but he was in the canvas plenty. Bowe bounced him around repeatedly. Klitschko knocked him down easily and early.

Sometimes I think Victor Ortiz has a China chin. Other times I think it's more that he lacks true heart and an ability to deal with adversity.

I don't think that Alexander will threaten that chin in any way next week. I can't recall offhand the last time he knocked anyone out.

Yeah a record like that suggests to me that he never gave a sincere effort in any of his fights. He just showed up to take a shot or two, fall down and cash a check.

He had faced a lot of powerful punchers in his career. I feel that he deserved 7/10, and his brother has been 10/10.

Beg to differ. I give Lennox 7/10 and Wlad 5/10

In Lennox's farewell fight against Vitali, Lewis settled some doubts by absorbing some heavy shots from one of the premier HW punchers of his era.

Wlad on the other hand needed major stylistic changes to HIDE his weak chin. Without Manny Steward's major stylistic adjustments Wlad would have ended his career in disaster.

You can trace the major style-change to his first Samuel Peter bout. After the humiliating KO loss to Lamon Brewster, Steward changed Wlad's emphasis to clutching, grabbing, tying up when he faced heavy hitters to avoid a repeat of the humiliating KOs to Brewster, Sanders & Puritty.

Watch this video of Wlad-Peter I and videos of Wlad pre-Samuel Peter and you cant help but see major stylistic adjustments to hide his glass jaw. Manny Steward SAVED WLAD's CAREER.

Maskaev was good too. He sure had Rahman's number. He wound up 39-7 with 28 ko's...and all seven of his losses were by KO.

yes his first ko of rahman was one of the best ive seen. steve smoger was ringside and got nailed with a chair from the raging audience
