Groves v Eubank Jnr open workout footage

Eubank Jnr looks so small here compared to Groves. The difference on fight night is going to be too significant for Eubank to overcome in my view. Can see him getting his head jabbed off all night and then possibly stopped late on.

You can't take to much from a couple of minuite training video , BUT if i was to take anything , i would watch how both guys look different on pads , Eubank , his pad man is finding the distance and chris , peppers in the speed and power , , all good when your opponent is like your pad man and stands in front of you , Chris is telagraphing and not to well balanced ,.

Goerge he's more natural , it flows and he gets his correct distance with no help from Shane , his punches are relaxed and sharp , his balance is poised for movement and defence ,

Goerge a lot easier than most think . , George is gonna put subtle body pressure on Chris ,forcing him to run or throw , and fight middle distance , beating Eubank to the punch , with the better foot movement , and good straight left , , Remember a 2 inch foot movement can give you 6 inches of reach , if you have decent footwork , Eubank does'nt , George does .

Groves is vulnerable but he is far superior than Eubank in the boxing skill department,

It is an intriguing fight for sure, and I am a big fan of Eubank but at this weight I think he's biting off more than he can chew, and should have stayed down at middleweight. Groves is huge at this weight, and his big fight experience makes Eubank look like a small fish in deep water.

Groves has excellent balance, he's very accurate and can bang. I can't help but feel he's going to clock Eubank cold because his defense is diabolical.

Eubank is great when he is on top and looks a million dollars, I can't see that happeeing against Groves. If it does he's the real deal for sure.

He looks like a LMW in there, more I see, more I think it's going to be an easy night for Groves.

I thought eubanks feet were very slow when moving compared to groves who moves very quickly around after a combo.

Also i though jnr was leaving his chin very exposed, i know it is only pad work but isn't the pads the place to practice at your flaws aswell as the speed.

100 per cent , for me pads is second to sparring in the gym , its where you get to throw punches and move at the same time , I,m not gonna say anyone is right or wrong , but quite often i see a trainer just stood with his hands wide apart and getting clobbered with body shots after he,s called them , the boxer just really could be on the heavy bag . Personaly i used to and still do love taking laads on padwork , but they ha ve to punch moving sideways backwards and forwards , and most importanly find tthere own distance ,, .like i would say your opponent is,nt gonna stand and let you hit him , so cut me off and tthrow the combo , its just as much about the feet as the hands, if its about the hands like we see with Eubank , he could just work the heavy bag ,, notice shane moving and Groves using his feet to come in and spin off , watching two different sesions , 1 probably takes nothing to the bank the other gets the benefit ,, Fitness wise you will get more out of punchi g and moving than heavy bag , helps with the breathin as well ,, one thing i learnt over the years a good padman is a good asset to a camp

This is where Eubank is going to fall down in this fight in my view. He's got no trainer and he clearly doesn't listen to anything his corner says. Eubank Snr just struts around like a demented peacock posing in front of the cameras and I'm not exactly sure what Ronnie Davies does as I remember one fight (can't remember which - may have been the Spike O'Sullivan one) where Davies was trying to impart some advice about Eubank not just plodding forward and taking big shots and Eubank just told him to shut up.

I can understand both sides cases of why one of them could win, that is why, for me, this is arguably the most anticipated fight of 2018 for me. Looking forward to it!

Can Eubank step up and make a name for himself?

Is George too experienced and technically better?

Will Eubanks work rate be enough for a points win?

Has George got the stamina for 12 rounds?

So many questions to be answered this weekend.......cannot wait! :TU:

And I don't think Groves gets the credit he deserves as a genuine puncher.

Amen. If Eubank does stop Groves it'll be a dozen or so unanswered shots. Groves can do it with a single punch
