Box-Nation usually announce some of these a couple of days in advance.. Don't see why they won't pick it up.

I had just assumed it was on. Didn't realise it hadn't been announced. It's not a fight I'd stay up for anyway. Another bullshít opponent for Garcia. Read a thing the other day where he was bitching about 'leaving things to the judges' regarding the Thurman fight. What a fuckin cheek coming from him!

Rios is going to be a sitting duck for some very heavy hooks. Garcia is pretty accurate, even when he throws the hooks without looking at his target and he's got a very good chin and comes forward. Possibly the worst style matchup for Rios.

Why has Garcia been out for a year? Bulking up(wink wink) or crying into his cornflakes after his bubble finally burst against Thurman?
Bam Bam really is about done. He's only had one fight since November 2015 and that was against low level Mexican, Herrera.
Should be fun while it lasts.
The last few cards from US and Mexico have been very poor compared to the treats we've been receiving over here and in Europe lately

Ah that's a good way of stopping BN from appearing as 'allegedly' on the displayed post. Let me just test something else...
... Frank-Warren
EDIT: Yep that works too. Cheers

Shoddy fight. I won't be tuning in.

As for Garcia, I think he busted his ass to make 140Ibs for way longer than he should have. Since outboxing Matthysse he really hasn't come close to living up to his old man's BS. I thought he was a bit unlucky with the Thurman decision but the fight itself fell way short of the hype. He will beat Rios but so what.

i thought thurman clearly beat garcia. he built a big lead and then had enough room to coast the last rounds. whereas even though thurmans fight with porter was actually scored wider, he had to fight hard till the end and grab victory instead of just holding onto it.

Rios very slurry these days. Too many headshots. Please retire Bam Bam, for your own safety.

Apparently not. Seems we have one of those rare Saturdays/Sunday early hours when neither Sky or BN have any live action.

Been giving bunce & BNation a hard time on Twitter for not showing it, nor the superfly 2 show in CA next week...very poor
They’re showing the uninspiring Moses Paul fight Sat night I think

Poor old Buncie gets all manner of stick on social media, a lot of which relates to stuff that he has no control over
Beltran-Moses is tonight or early hours of tomorrow morning UK time and is backed up by what I think is a decent undercard.

Shame that neither this nor the Alexander vs Ortiz fight is being picked up - could have been a great night of the fringe Welterweights.
I do like Beltran vs Moses thought.

Sky's schedule is crap. I don't get why they never picked it up.

Piss poor that allegedly aren't picking up either Garcia-Rios or Alexander-Ortiz. Both are low grade matchups but BN is a boxing channel ffs. Hardly be a budget issue for that pish.

I know - great flyweight fight for world title next weekend they are ignoring too
Everyone get on their case on Twitter ——because all they seem to get is praise, then going on about how they will be showing us the Selby fight & the Billy Joe Saunders fight in two or three months for... fecks sake

They are getting a lot of Twitter queries last minute about Spence Jr fight and picked it up last minute.
Sure if they get enough enquiries on social media about Superfly 2 they'll pick it up.

watching the pre 24/7 build up on garcia v thurman, the way danny was talking about the birth of his daughter so he cant get hurt as he has to be there for her,,and how he is the veteran in the gym now. sounded like he wanted to retire then , which makes me wonder how much he has left , i would expect a garcia ko tonight if not i think it could be his last fight possibly
