Down to middleweight to be a gatekeeper in the UK? Try MMA?

Eubank Jnr openly admits he is a not natural Super-Middleweight at 160lbs domestically he has lost to Billy Joe Saunders, but at British level he beat Nick Blackwell and would beat Tommy Langford for the British title. And then go from there.

About two months prior to last weekends bout, Eubank Jr. weighed 164lbs. In stark contrast, Groves entered the ring last Saturday weighing a whopping 184lbs.
Eubank Jr. suffered a bad cut during the third round, which scuppered his plans to engage in rough-house toe-to-toe trench warfare tactics against Groves.
Whilst Eubank Jr. has clearly been hyped and isn't as good as many of us believed him to be, he is probably far better than the performance that he delivered last weekend.
Eubank Jr. should move back to 160lbs and employ the services of a proper trainer, manager and promoter, with him engaging in a three-bout career rebuilding exercise against borderline world-class opposition.
He can come back a better fighter and eventually snatch one of the alphabet world titles, but he probably won't ever become the top dog at either 160lbs or 168lbs.
He'll likely become a "Martin Murray Mark II" type fighter - Fairly good, competitive against anyone, but not quite good enough.

That's what he really need. He is known already.

Well, the Prince himself, Naseem Hamed, advises Eubank to just go ahead and retire, saying "he's just not at this level. He's not as good as he's been saying he is."
"Let's talk reality, " the Prince added. "Is this guy a world beater? No he is not. Two years, three years he still won't be a world beater. He's just not good enough...he doesn't have the ability. You're either good at boxing or you're not."
"I prefer him to finish. I don't want to see him get hurt anymore."
Hamed, apparently a tough customer to please, wasn't all that impressed with winner Groves' performance either.
"Groves made so many mistakes and he is so beatable," a disgusted Hamed observed. "I couldn't believe the way he boxed. He was the bigger man but who was marching forward all night? Chris Eubank Jr. He was missing but he was dictating the pace of the fight all night."
In case you didn't already know, Hamed added that he was disappointed in the performances of both men. But at least he didn't call on Groves to retire.
Hamed knows something about retiring after a loss. After being bullied and beaten by Barrera in 2001 for his first defeat, Hamed was inactive for a year and then had one final, very uninspired fight against European champion Calvo.
The Prince won a drab decision.
He never fought again.

Jr won the IBO title and it made him a bit of cash. He needs to go back to middleweight and work with someone else. Saying that its possibly true that he aint going to win a credible world title at middleweight, The IBO title is already held by Gennady Golovkin so that option is a no go.
Now not sure what other world titles are out there at the moment thats in the BBBoC realm but I can imagine that there is a possibility Jr and his dad could work on one of those to at least get a title and abuse by getting fights on TV and making more money.
I'm sure the Eubanks know what they are doing and which road they will take to make a few more million before Jr retires. It looks like the big 4 titles have decent champions, but a final bow at BJS is a possibility.

Jr is still a good fighter and a big name. He won’t be short of options. The question is at what weight. To me he should go back to middle, it’s up to him though

Eubank's left hook against Groves was a useful shot, he has a jab can bang and rally.
Chin ... he's looks vulnerable due to his positioning but at the same time has fight in him if he gets caught.
Chris looks good at the weight and is always in shape, he's charismatic enough to sell it and isn't a pushover.

There’s a blueprint to beat him, he’s delusional and was back on the pads the day after - reeks of denial, stubbornness and I doubt that’s normal...take a break, reflect on your loss. Unlikeable personality with arrogance that is magnified now he can’t back up what he says.
If he does get burnt out or motivations dips, his attributes of fitness and speed may decline. Basically, it’s not looking good for him in the long run.
