I know Inoue said that he moving up, but this would be an absolutely epic fight. Rungvisai has a diamond chin and Inoue throws bombs.

Make it happen! :OhYes: :bag: :box:

Inoue stops him. Rung wins just by being bigger, IMO, and he won't have that advantage against Inoue. Rung also looked worse for wear in the first Roman fight and tonight's fight near the end of the fight. Inoue stops him late....

Inoue gets destroy. Rungvisai just beat the only fighter that had a stylistic advantage over him, and the only fighter I could see beating him. Rungvisai is my p4p #1.

super fly 3

tbh i would just want something other then a rematch. sor vs estrada was fun but while there making these top super fly fights id like to see fresh ones as much as possible. it would be great if they could pay inoue enough to stay at 115 and fight sor

id like to see yafai in the mix vs arroyo

i wish ancajas could fight on hbo, but as an arum guy i think he might be glued to espn

Inoue v Jamie McDonnell was close to being signed - nothing announced yet in Japan.

I don't think you really thought this through. Wangek did not have a height, wingspan, or weight advantage on either of Gonzalez or Estrada. I think you are confusing Wangek with Inoue, who actually holds a height and reach advantage over his opponents. Wangek beats his opponents by basically being Manny Pacquiao.

Physically bigger, bigger frame. In the Estrada and Roman fights, my guess he was the bigger man in the ring, weight wise. I don't know what the fight night weights were, but I'd think Rung was bigger than both. At least that's the way it looked to me watching those fights. It's been said by a few people that think Roman was/is too small for the 115 pound division.

Boyeaux is the only fighter 5' 6" or taller out of Inoue's last 11 opponents.

Wangek is only 5' 3", 63.5" wingspan, and is accused of being bigger than all of his opponents. Wangek has hardly been bigger than any of his opponents. Inoue has had about 2 inches of height over quite a lot of his opponents, Boyeaux excluded. Wangek, 0 inches of advantage over his average opponents. Inoue, 2 inches of advantage over his average opponents.

I voted DRAW. (as long as this fight is not held in Japan), I could vision both fighters hands being raised at the end of the evening.

Gonzalez was clearly the smaller man in both of those fights IMO.

it never ceases to amaze me how often the 'who's the bigger man' argument gets bogged down on height and arm length measurements. as though thickness of chest/shoulders/hips/legs aren't at least equally important in establshing that someone has a big frame

but then there are retarded posters who literally don't understand anything they cannot put a direct statistic to. I don't include Boxing prospect among them, for the record.

The concept of unproveable bigness, divorced from any measurement or measurable amount of mass, is basically just your own bias. You're basically like "People who support their claims with facts and reliable sources are idiots. People who make baseless, unproveable claims are geniuses."

All of these fighters weigh-in the day before, they are all playing by the same rules, and they have the same opportunity to rehydrate after the weigh-in. If both fighters made weight, and neither one came in grotesquely under the weight limit, then please just shut the f*ck up about fake concepts of bigness that don't apply. They had a choice of which weight division to fight in, they're competing at exactly the division that they have chosen to compete at, so they're square.

Using the Boxrec numbers
2" taller than Omayao, 1.5" longer reach
6.5" taller than Ngaoprajan Chuwatana
Inoue was the same height as Sano
Short and less long then Taguchi (in fact Taguchi is taller and longer than Luis Nery - according to figures provided by the JBC for Taguchi Vs Melindo and Nery Vs Yamanaka II, yet no one would suggest Taguchi is bigger than Nery*)
2" taller than Mancio
1" taller than Hernandez, 2.5" longer
4" taller than Samartlek, 3" longer reach
2.5" taller than Narvaez, 2.5" longer
Same height as Parrenas, with a shorter reach
1" taller than Carmona, .5" longer
Same height as Petchbarngborn, with a shorter reach
Shorter than Kono, with a shorter reach
1.5" taller than Rodriguez, 1" longer reach
1" taller than Nieves, but a 2" shorter reach
2.5" short than Boyeaux, 3" shorter reach

He's been the shorter man Vs:
Taguchi, Kono, Boyeaux

The same height Vs:
Sano, Parrenas, Petchbarngborn

Had the shorter reach Vs:
Taguchi, Parrenas, Petchbarngborn, Nieves and Boyeaux

...So...same or shorter than 6 of 15 opponents (or 4 of 10 in world title bouts) and shorter reach against 5 of 15 (and 4 of 10 in world title bouts).

*Taguchi is 1" taller than Nery, with almost a 1" reach advantage...yet that ignores Nery having a thicker set frame with almost a 1" thicker neck and 1.25" thicker chest.

It is a real shame if this fight doesn't happen.

Inoue has only been at 115 for 3 years and only has 2 wins worth talking about at the weight. There is no reason for him to move up now. I hope HBO can put up enough money to make this fight happen.
