benavidez is 21 and two fights ago he was dropped and had a tough time with a guy who couldnt beat elvin ayala. he did beat him easier in the rematch but im thinking maybe he might be taken along a more long term path then fighting zurdo soon would be. remember his best opponents have been medina and gavril, which is hardly suggesting hell be jumped right to zurdo.

although i notice some ppl here already think benavidez knocks out zurdo, even though he couldnt even drop gavril once in 24 rounds.

and of course you have haymon vs arum, i think thats still a problem isnt it?

i just hope they both fight next better opponents then last time. although hart was a decent challenger for zurdo tbf

Okay, but despite he is only 21, he has a world title. That means there are some mandatory challenger, who is it? Isn´t Eubank WBC mandatory after defeating Yildirim?

well this is the top 15 on the wbc website, i dont know if its up to date to include eubank losing . tbh wouldnt surprise me if its j'leon love next. with haymon too i believe and should be a routine win vs an opponent around the level of his last one.

i dont think he currently has a mandatory?

1 .- Callum Smith (GB)
2 .- Chris Eubank Jr. (GB)
3 .- Anthony Dirrell (US)
4 .- Jessie Hart (US)
5 .- Ronald Gavril (Romania/US)
6 .- Rocky Fielding (GB) BBB C
7 .- Hadillah Mohoumadi (France) EBU
8 .- Juergen Braehmer (Germany)
9 .- Fedor Chudinov (Russia)
10 .- Avni Yildirim (Turkey) INTL
11 .- James De Gale (GB) * CBP/P
12 .- J'Leon Love (US)
13 .- Jayde Mitchell (Australia)
14 .- John Ryder (GB) * CBP/P
15 .- Vincent Feigenbutz (Germany) * CBP/P

Chris Eubank Jr. will inevitably receive a high-ranking from the WBC, despite his most recent loss, because of the calibre of opponent he lost to; coupled with the potential sizable sanctioning fees the Brit could bring to Mauricio Sulaiman’s governing body.

I like both of these guys, would be fun to see them fight each other.

Before and after the Hart fight, Ramirez has had an easy ride.
Every fight he is the bigger man.
Like a school yard bully.
It's about time he took a credible opponent again.
He ducked the WBSS pure and simple. Groves or Smith would be odds on to beat him.
IMO, zurdo is not the goods in the SMW division. I put him at #3 or #4
