Victor Conte is helping the Luis Ortiz camp!

Luis Ortiz, who has tested positive for banned substances on two separate occasions, has employed the services of Victor Conte (former chief of BALCO, was previously imprisoned for supplying anabolic steroids to athletes) for his training camp for the Deontay Wilder fight.

Thoughts?

It is strange pick given his history. But, Conte and his rebranded SNAC company has worked with Andre Ward, Berto, Judah and Donaire since 2011.

Thanks. Why would you have a tainted name in your camp when you are already trying to distance yourself from perception that you are a drug-cheat?

It's a PR disaster! A convicted PED cheat (Luis Ortiz) employs the services of someone that not only boasted about how easy it was for him to help drug cheats to avoid testing positive for banned substances, but he was also locked up for supplying anabolic steroids (Victor Conte).

As long as the fight comes off I don't give a sh*t who he has in his camp. I frankly don't give a sh*t if he's on PED's, I just want the fight to come off.

He has not tested positive in his 2nd occasion and his first one was against a bum as well, so it's highly unlikely he did that on purpose. Wilder on the other hand bribed a whole lab and still got busted, not by a lab, but by the police who appearantly smelled it from a mile away!

"I’ve been a clean fighter all my life. I never even thought about even taking no drugs or put in my body to make my body do something that it’s not normally supposed to do."
Really? The guy driving around all the beer for the entire neighbourhood, the guy who drove around with a countless amount of drugs in his car, but he "never even thought about even taking no drugs" lol what a guy.

There's no rule against fighters taking recreational drugs during out-of-competition. He was only caught with possession. It wasn't proven that he'd actually taken them.

You need to start educating yourself.

Dude he is a fucktard.
As long as his commie crushes can cheat he's fine.
The forum will be better off when he hits puberty and discovers girls. Maybe then we won't have to listen to his bullshit

If you want help with 'nutrition', Victor Conte must be one of the best.

The human digestion system is beyond complete understanding, but an expert like Conte can provide some psychological support, and right now Ortiz is not in a position to quibble or even care about image or reputations.

Totally agree.
This modern age of boxing contains so few top matchups, I'd hate to see less of them.
At Ortiz's age, I don't really mind.

Well, for me it's obvious why he didn't sign the contract for such a long time, that's why I predicted the day he would sign the contract several months beforehand. I predicted all of it. Fanboys of such guys should feel ashamed of themself.

He didn't took peds, he had something in his body that could in theory cover up peds, he didn't actually take peds. It's like you drinking water, it could cover up something, so Ortiz basically got ignored by Wilder because he drank water.

Luis Ortiz took banned substances on two separate occasions and received two suspensions from the WBA as a result of it.

The most recent test failure led to the WBA banning Luis Ortiz for testing positive for consuming a masking agent, which he subsequently admitted taking, yet he did not disclose to VADA… and nor did he disclose his alleged medical condition and nor did he request an exemption to continue taking these drugs.

When the WBC medical professionals tested the Cuban for symptoms of his alleged high blood pressure to verify his excuse, they could find no evidence that he even suffered from it. Despite this though, the WBC took the word of Luis’ elderly doctor and only issued him with a financial punishment instead.

Apparently, Luis Ortiz claimed he had only suffered with high blood pressure one-time, during the build-up of the previously postponed Deontay Wilder fight… and now he’s employed the services of the controversial Victor Conte, who had a long history of working with PED’s (to the point he even received a custodial sentence for distributing them) to help the Cuban pass the battery of VADA testing he now has to endure for the rescheduled Wilder bout.

For the record, you keep mentioning water as a masking agent. Stop it, just stop being silly!

Just because you drink water, doesn't proof you're drunk.
What Wilder and his team does, just like you, is mixing all kind of bullshit up just to make it look like he did something wrong, just to waste as much time as possible and in the end fight a bum again, most likely Charles Martin this time, or fake an injury ofcourse. The American media and the American lab Wilder and the WBC are continually using is actually the one who got a long history of working with false documents and false occusations. Did Victor Conte also work in America or something? I don't know their connection, it's probably an independant doctor who gives his opinion, or the actual facts on the case.

Also, one way or another, water is a masking agent, denying it is the same as beïng silly actually.
Nobody but insiders can help you passing a VADA test, appearantly Wilder got some insiders working for him, this has been proven several times actually.

When Wilder fought "the battle of the dopers" between doping user and doping test skipper Bermaine Stiverne and bronze medal cruiserweight winner Wilder who got busted with his car full of drugs by the American police, he should have fought Luis Ortiz. Somehow by continually letting some lab make mistakes, or let them spread confusing information and things like that, Wilder managed to delay a good fight even more.

Here are a few quotes of what I predicted back then:
