Damn Wilder manage to survive and got the K.O win but the way he throws his punches it's very risky for him to suffer a severe injury. This man is too wild and awkward.

Anyway it's a solid win for Wilder.

Throwing wild shots back the head, slapping not landing on the knuckle part, he's seriously a sloppy fighter and very dirty how he hasn't been disqualified for hitting when boxers are on canvas and having ref pulling him off is beyond me, if he didn't have power in his right hand he would be nothing, just been built up through easy fights one after another getting away with anything he wants he even throws fighters anyone else would be disqualified or atleast points off but not bumsquad, fair play showed he had a chin last night but a younger fresher man would of ended it

It's interesting you pointed that out. Wilder has notoriously turned into a helicopter when he gets his opponent in trouble, but I really thought he showed some restraint and patience as compared to his previous performances. (I was actually screaming, 'don't go crazy...take your time!') All in all a tremendously entertaining battle.!

Ali did some things in a very unorthodox way; he'd lean back instead of slipping a punch. HIs left hook was half uppercut. But you can tell watching Ali that he boxed since he was a kid. Wilder has good coordination but he sometimes still looks like a novice. But he has that mad power.

yep, and he had good eyes and picked up on a few things from watching his hero, Sugary Ray Robinson.

Wilder may be the most flawed champion in the world but he's fun to watch.

And he's been in the ring for over ten years. That's an excuse; he's 32 years old now. Wilder is a gangly type, not a good boxer. He won last night thanks to Ortiz being however old you think he was and the ref giving Wilder a break when he needed it the most.

If you don't have a sport in your "muscle memory" by 21, you are at a disadvantage. Wilder started very late. So did Ron Lyle. I believe if Wilder started boxing at 10, he would be much more fluid.

I haven't read all the threads and posts on the fight. How many have suggested that the fight was fixed or that the referee stopped it too soon?

I couldn't get past "Wilder only won because he had a beard."

Even if you start something at 21 -- If you're hard at it for 10 years or more you're going to get good at it...

And Ali could have used some skills when he was getting hit upside the head.

If you been concentrating on something for as long as Wilder has you're bound to get good at it... He's a good athlete with good power, but I think Joshua has much better coaching. He looks a lot smoother than Wilder.

Another angle on the fight is Luis Ortiz... He was a hair slow pulling the trigger... That really surprised me... For me, that's his age starting to show up... He'll be 39 this month.. There is no possible way you can get a shot off as well when you're 39 as you could when you were 29... You can still beat a lot of people who aren't elite, but it's doubtful that you're going to be the best in the world .... That was Klitschko's problem when he fought Fury and Joshua.... He was a hair slower, and you're NEVER going to get that back... It doesn't matter how much more skilled you are at a certain point... You're done.
