Any good bag drills etc. for an utter casual?

Not looking to do anything serious, but I'd like to practice some bits and pieces, just for fun really.
Basically anything that can be done with minimal resources, punchbag, speedball etc.

tbh i never really did drills
just would move around the bag, throwing usually 3x or so as many jabs as anything else, and then putting together basic combos off the jab, like jab-straight, jab-straight-jab, jab-straight hook, jab-straight-jab straight. adding some lead power hand punches in to, and getting close in at times to simulate inside work (although this can be tougher on a bag that doesnt allow for uppercuts very well).
that video you posted of saunders makes it seem like he really stresses starting with jabs too and tbh i think more often then not fighters dont use it enough. its such a simple but effective shot, although i guess this doesnt matter as much if your only hitting bags
i guess the drilliest thing i did was do full rounds just throwing loads of jabs, mainly to work on jab stamina, as when you throw it a lot you can start to get arm weary, so wanted to build my jab stamina

yeah you can do all manner of drills just off the jab alone
jab to body then head (repeat x10 or whatever)
jab to head then body
feint jab to head jab to body
feint jab to body jab to head
double jab, first one quick (or a feint) and light second one heavier
double jab heavy one then light one
triple jab, pivoting off each one to finish 90 degrees from starting point after the third- actually after any of these you can and should vary your footwork/exits, so after first drill step off counter-clockwise, after the second drill pivot off clockwise 45 degrees
probably do these as shadowboxing drills before doing them on the bag, especially with footwork- also always always always practise head slips after every time you've thrown a jab

A Tabata type workout could be good, 20 seconds on 10 seconds rest between each 20 seconds of work.
Maximum effort during work periods and short rest really get you working if you put the effort in and you can download a free Tabata timer from the google play store.
Warm up: 3 mins skipping or dynamic stretches and movement to warm up before beginning
Tabata format:
*20 seconds non stop punching (Either constant Jab - Cross (straight punches) or Hooks or Uppercuts, stick to one type)
*10 second rest
*repeat for 8 sets
*try repeat the work for 3+ rounds (8x20 seconds of work = 1 round, 1 min rest between rounds)
Ways to improve :
* Work in a bodyweight exercise you can do for the rest periods without removing your boxing gloves once you get used to it (E.G: Squats, lunges, jumping jacks, mountain climbers, sit ups etc.)
* Add extra rounds
* Reduce the rest period between rounds
* Add combination punches (Jab, cross, Lead hook - Lead hook, rear uppercut, Lead hook - cross, Lead body hook, lead head hook, etc.)
* Add footwork between combinations but keep the work rate high.
* Add in kicks/knee/elbow strikes if you come from a kickboxing or Muay Thai back ground and can do the moves properly

You need to be taught how to punch ... I would say it's impossible to learn how to punch on your own ...
It's a skill ... like anything else ... there's more to it than meets the eye ... and you simply cannot do it on your own ...
So join a boxing club ... not a real-pro gym ... (they wouldn't take you anyway) ... but one of those places that take white-collar boxers ...
... (and pay attention to what your trainer says) ...

As above really, you have to learn how to move your feet and get your balance right otherwise nothing else will work properly for you.

you sure can. but the trick is to pump your jab out so you are never picking your arm up.
having to pick your arm up is what gets it heavy.

can you throw a jab every few seconds for three minutes?
