What's Next For Quigg?

Feather or Super Feather?
Feather makes more sense what with Frampton, Selby/Warrington & Galahad in potentially big money fights.
But if he can't make the weight what can be do at 130?
Unless he jumps up to 135 & suddenly discovers BEEF with Crolla

Probably, a couple of pushover fights from Eddie then he'll move up and get beat up again.
Takes too many shots. He needs protecting from himself. Should pack in, but won't.

He can make feather. If what he said was true about not being able to run to lose that last bit of pounds then he can probably make 126..
Too many domestic fights out there as well for him to leave featherweight just yet.

Bit harsh , Yes he does take too many but definitely could mix it at a slightly lower level with the names suggested .
It's funny how a loss to two very good fighters make him retirement material .
He still has plenty to offer , just not at top level .
Whether he wants to continue at a lower level is another thing tho' .

It's true. Just because he lost to 2 top level fighters doesn't mean he's not world level..
Frampton was split decision.. The Valdez fight was close, but clear for Valdez. Quigg did well this fight. Valdez has an amazing tank and just doesn't stop attacking.

Would also add , totally pointless being with Roche .

It's not harsh pal. Boxing is a brutal sport and he takes far too many punches.

since frampton he starts attacking earlier but his defense is worse then ever
his defense vs valdez was pretty much just to crouch with his hands by his side and his head not moving. thats partly why i think valdez threw combos with so many shots in them, because the target was still there for him after each shot

Needs only meaningful fights for Quigg now, he cant afford to be messing about at this stage of his career with daft knockover jobs, theres plenty to choose from at feather especially domestically, could still pick up a title and some decent purses but needs to crack on as I think he has a limited shelf life now.

his d was really bad though, he was strong and durable and roughed up valdez at times but it was provodnikov level defense

Dont know but he looked quite healthy at the weigh in, will have to wait and see if the fractured foot thing was a valid excuse

I was surprised Quigg failed to make weight, he‘s a thorough sort of dude. It suggests either it’s time to move up or something was wrong in camp. Either way, he probably didn’t have the best preparation.

I seriously don't get this "Oh he's so brave" schtick after he blatantly cheated on the weight (& if he didn't blatantly cheat, WTF is up with refusing a check weigh in?).

Valdez made the weight at featherweight. Quigg didn't bother, refused a check-weigh and decided to come in the ring at welterweight.
