Canelo Passes Third Drug Test, Says Golden Boy Prez .... yeah he's super clean now

Mexican superstar Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs) has now passed his third consecutive anti-doping test with a negative result for clenbuterol.
Eric Gomez, President of Golden Boy Promotions, confirmed to ESPN Deportes that Canelo had been negative in a third anti-doping test conducted on March 9 by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency.
In addition, he also came up negative for any banned substances on March 2 and March 5. @ BS
Of course. Test him till he gets ok. That 'sshit' ain't gonna stay forever in the body.

I don't care about him...it's what it does to the sport's integrity, which is further diminishing as x approaches 0.

I feel like the only way to even things out is to make it legal. It ruined baseball's sacred statistics and it'll ruin boxing too I fear.

Yup. Just imagine if GGG who loves those mexican meat dishes had traces of cleb in his system, suddenly he would've been crucified and banned. BTW Golovkin must eat free-cleb mexican meat.

I'm sure that most of the guys atop this sport have been dirty and boxers like GGG, who is definitely clean and quite naive, are the minority.
You know how you can tell when a boxer starts using PEDS? When he goes from a 2 or 3 fights per year to 1. With 1 fight a year, cycling becomes easy and an exact science around the right people. Floyd was the master of this. He could be cycling all year long and know exactly when to come off it in order to test clean.
I mean come on....there's no way Floyd should have been able to look and fight like this at 40. It's so obvious but no one calls him out. Canelo just needs better scientists. He's just trying to do everything Floyd did.

This is a really telling point, in my opinion, it's one of those examples of evidence being circumstantial rather than conclusive, but nonetheless very convincing in my opinion. Whilst the various fvcked-up other reasons for fighters inactivity have to be considered also, you know with TV/money and contract issues like Mikey or Ward, there are other reasons fighters fight less often, but I agree entirely that it's no coincidence modern fighters just so happen to fight less, whilst said inactivity might aid them in the process of detection-free cycling. Good point

Oscar De La Hoya and co have almost got it down to a science now, following in the great Mayweather's footsteps seemingly without the undisclosed payouts.

Canelo's passed 3 straight tests since leaving Mexico and its tainted meat behind.
He's passed countless drug tests over the years and then tests positive with an infinitesimal amount of clenbuterol in his system.
And everyone has known that Mexican meat is dirty. It's no surprise when Mexican prizefighters are found to have it in their system.
But some feel a need to make a big production out of it.
As usual, much ado about nada.
But it gives Golovkin's supporters an excuse to hang their hat on should he be pummeled come Cinco de Mayo.

Talking of cycling, it's worth noting that Spain's Alberto Contador was given a two year ban for having 50 picograms of clenbuterol in his system. Canelo had 600-800 piocgrams!
That's an awful lot of mis-steaks.
Unless something is done we may see a lot more training camps set up in Mexico or China. I hope this doesn't go away, and some strong action is taken. At the very least more stringent and random drug testing must become compulsory in this sport.
Boxing is currently so far behind that testing is almost a waste of time. Drug cheats won't be stopped, but they shouldn't be fighting for millions $ or prestigious titles.
