Been in a coma for a while since his last bout. Rip to a journeyman that brought will and intensity in all of his fights.

The last bout was against Kopas Who at the time was 7 wins 11 losses 2 draws.
Whittom was 12 23 1.
Does boxing really need this kind of fights?
It's fucked up game.
RIP

Maybe a bit insensitive, that.
It's got to be tough for the guys family and the other boxer in the ring. Awful when these events occur.

Hell yeah, we do! Some of the best fights I've witnessed are journeymen with losing records giving it their all. Who are we to deny these brave fighters an income and an opportunity to excite fans?
RIP

Apparently had substance abuse problems that had him eunning after those paychecks.
Regarding the records comment, people often complain that boxing is giving too much importance to flawless records as oppose to MMA where a loss doesn’t mean you’re a fraud thats been exposed. Promoters need these fighters ans fight. Boxing is much more than a PPV main event.

Yeah sorry about that.
The whole journeyman thing ticks me the wrong way
How many KO losses is too many? It would seem that 12 was too much...
But I don't know the situation too well. So I might need to STFU.
There are some journeyman that I see as being good ones. Like Sherman Williams or Travis Walker. Guys who try to win. What I don't like is guys taking beatings for cash.

Whittom got the local warrior reconition early in his career... he was always considered a tough fight... but when he moved up in weight at some point, he became easier to stop... i was wondering why he kept fighting

this guy took many battering from much better and bigger opponents, maybe if hed been more matched at his own level in the first place his brain wouldve been in better condition coming into a fight like this.
