I am really hopeful Parker will beat Joshua. But if he doesn't, Browne might be just the fight he needs.

agreed. If Parker loses to AJ he can come back to his side of the world and co-main a show with Browne and build a fight between the 2.
Leapai, Haumono or De Mori as potential opponents...

Browne did look to be in awful shape.

Lucas' manager was asked about his weight in the lead-up to the fight and commented 'don't believe everything you hear' to suggestions Browne would come in heavy

Then he turns up 14 pounds heavier than he was against Chagaev!

The passing years haven't been too kind to Browne.
He was out of his depth against Whyte. Looks just about shot to me.

I don't like Parker's chances against AJ but I'd certainly back him
to beat the 38 yr old Browne.

I'd like to see 27 yr old Aussie HW champ Demsey Mc Kean get a few more fights under his belt
then challenge de Mori to a showdown.
Although it would seem highly unlikely to happen.
Mark has ducked all Aussie & Kiwi heavies since John Wyborn KO'd him in 2004.

He needs to retire. Well, he can continue knocking out journeymen, but is it a really good option? He doesn't have too much chances against the top guys, he's old, it is better to retire in such cases, as the history shows.

You are Lucas' manager and matched him against Whyte. Lucas turned up in terrible shape and performed dismally. Do you take any responsibility for that? Are you prepared to deny Lucas was knocked down hard by Chisora in sparring?

A bit late, i just watched the fight.
Disappointed how heavy Brown was, hands too low, sluggish around the ring, and honestly what was with the switch hitting?
At 38, you stick with your strengths, don't overthink, and you must.....and i mean must train harder than you ever have.
In saying that, i hope Brown is ok, and to continue, which he can, there is so much to learn from that fight.

All our decisions are made as a team. We take the good with the bad, make adjustments and go from there.

either yes or no. its not that difficult surely.

but really, the fight of his life and then he serves up that?

he's just blown a chance of possibly facing joshua for big bucks. yes he would be outclassed but he would have been paid very good.

You have succeeded in endorsing reports Chisora knocked Browne down in sparring by conveniently ignoring my mention of it in your reply.

Have heard it from so many sources now it doesn't surprise me it's true.

Retirement

He's not a shot contender but against the big names of the division now, I just can't see him winning against a few of them unless he gets back in form and gets a few wins under his belt. Asking that of him when he's now 38, it's asking a lot.

He still is a good draw, match him right and you could get a few good tear up's as he finishes off his career, if he want's to go that way.
A commonwealth or OPBF or any regional title run is a possibility. Reading through the other posts, a match against Chisora, who has proven a few times that he can turn a fight into a fight of the year contender, now that would be a bust up anyone could be proud of to end their careers.

It’s sparring, it doesn’t mean much. Lucas has knocked down plenty in sparring, again, who cares? But it seems everyone is frothing for an answer. He took a knee during a round. Boxed on with Chisora finishing the scheduled 7 rounds and immediately completed another 5 with Nathan Gorman.

good luck to him whatever he decides to do cause he seems like a nice guy.

vs alex leapai would be a good test.

He’s a genuinely nice chap, Browne, has given me a couple of interviews for my boxing website and I hope he fights a little bit longer.

I’d like to see him in against the winner of Charr - Oquendo to get his old title back...

The 39 years young, Lucas Browne is gently easing himself back into the ring on 29th July at Punchbowl against the 43 years old, Roger Izonritei.

The bout is scheduled for 6 rounds, and Roger may find Lucas just a little bit faster than Bob Mirovic, whom he had a split decision over around 18 months ago.
