sharing info about websites

I would welcome comments on the following idea of setting up a data base of web sites.
Boxrec has a massive amount of posts and many of them make reference to other boxing sites or sources of information regarding specific persons. Aside from the posts which deal with fantasy fights , etc there is very clearly a great interest in life of the fighters as reported at the time.
When a search is done in boxrec on a fighter it does list in the bio some sources of other material.
However, at present no photo is available- this may well be resolved soon – and the actual info is in the main very small. This is in no way a slight against the guys who input the information.
There are many news archive sites and also personal sites which have been setup on specific boxers and it is this which I would wish to bring together in a specific forum/data base
Doing a post in my view does not seem a way to meet this need. CBZ, and Britishboxing.net all are represented as editors on this site and such a shared project may have some merit.
