Boxrec has him #124
The IBF has him in their top 15.
Are there any worse cases in discrepancies between boxrec and an alphabet group

good catch mate, now that you mention it it could be a fun little game to see the biggest discrepancy

I was hoping this could be a fun topic. And it shouldn't cause any real arguments.

I was shocked when I saw that the IBF ranked him in the top 15. I doubt if he belongs anywhere near the top 100.
He only fights a couple of pounds over the cruiserweight limit for Pete's sake. If he were to meet any of the other actual contenders they might find themselves up on manslaughter charges.

Actually, I was mistaken. Tettah has never fought above 200 lbs & he's only fought at that weight once. Hell, he's fought as low as 174 as recently as 2016. It's just crazy that the IBF ranks him at all, in any weight class. Yeah, he's 16-0, but he hasn't met anyone of any note whatsoever.
Yes, Tettah does hold some sort of minor regional title & that's the reason he's rated as the IBF is trying to be more inclusive etc., etc., but c'mon. This is just rediculous.

He KO1'ed Maxwell Amponsah who was 8-0 at the time, Amponsah qualified for the 2012 Olympics I believe and couldn't compete due to injury, however, that win hasn't looked so good since and that, nor his victory over Boniface Kabore, deserves a top 15 ranking at all but theres been more bizarre cases, the WBA's no.11 ranking of JOE FOURNIER at the moment is a lot worse, TBH
Tetah, however, seems very interesting based off record, looks like he can probably fight, gonna keep an eye out

ya lol at joe fourner. rich businessman fights absolute trash paid to lose but still gets wba rated. who wouldve thought
see how awful the opponents are and he hasnt even fought since 2016 but still rated near top ten at 175! hes eligible to face dmitry bivol ffs
joe f was last at 11 boxrec points which would put hm around 260-280th here.
last 5 opponents:
1-11
0-13
1-11
0-5
11-41

I already wrote about this a little while ago. I was surprised not to recognice one of the names in the heavyweight scenes, but when I checked him I realised why.

Maybe IBF is getting ready to give him a title shot. That's what they do, he said sarcastically!
