He's obviously got a huge task in front of him and is a completely different proposition from the Tyson fight.
Klitschko being 5 inches taller than Danny and has actually only been the distance once...!

To be honest standing toe to toe and boxing on the outside could both be suicide so what what advice would you give him apart from run...!

Seriously Danny will have to improve his head movement, footspeed and definetly improve his own jab. Vitali is not an open target like Tyson was, his work rate will be higher and he will be looking for that big right hand.. :x :(

I would tell him to enjoy every second of the last big fight of his career because Vitali is about to knock him out early!

I think Vitali will have him out of there in 2/3 rounds.

Vitali is hardly fornicating Muhammad ali dude, he's not that hard to hit. Tyson wasn't an open target to begin with.....he was ducking under Danny jab pretty good.

Use the jab, double it up, triple it up, and move around Vitali, whose footwork is poor. don't get caught on the outside, and smother Vitali's jab as you come in, parry it, get inside, work him over, but don't stay in the clinch too long, watch out for the uppercut, but mainly don't get caught posing and get hammered with Vitali's big 1-2. If Danny takes away the jab, Vitali becomes a much more ordinary durable big man.

Danny would do well to take it past the mid rounds before really opening up but he has to make Vitali move and work otherwise he's got problems.

"Keep your hands held high and try to land a haymaker in the first round, second at the latest. Don't look for a knockout just try and hurt him with one punch. Take away his confidence and he'll become very, very ordinary. Then do what James said and see how it goes, you'll be surprised at how easy this is."

Spot on. Danny's only real chance is to land early on, and force Vitali onto the back foot. Going backwards Vitali's defence is just awful, but if he's allowed to come forwards and control the fight he'll steamroller Danny. Vitali is not a thinking fighter, i'm not sure he's that capable of changing his tactics part-way through a fight, so if Danny is able to knock him out of his stride then i see this as a winnable fight.

gpotta go along with what James says really, dont let him settle to his own pace, work him at every opp on the inside, fight at your own pace not his , force it as the fight goes on, still gotta be doubts over a fighter who has been 12 only once. (even tho he has a lot of late tko's).

if he stands at distance and lets vitali unleash that one two he is gonna be in trouble, though vitiali is prety easy to hit.

i wouldnt write danny totally off just yet.

we just care about his health....
......anyway it could be that the fight will be cancelled because of the new direction the judge follows on the klitschko-kohl-trial

Well lets hope not., Fingers crossed.
Im always dubious of these fights when there is so much time inbetween the announcement and the date.

rreally does highlight the need for a single governing body all this though hey, we can but dream.

I think Danny has a good chance. He needs to make a fast start, put the pressure on Vitali, hurt him early and stop him from getting his rythm and jab going... if Corrie Sanders can give Vitali so much trouble then Danny has a very good chance if he comes in with the mindset he had against Tyson. Danny by 7th or 8th round stoppage. 8)
