Joshua makes Wilder look foolish for 2 rounds.
Wilder lands big in 3rd and finishes him off.
Setting up an even bigger fight in the rematch

It is literally down to this.
If Joshua can avoid the right hand he wins a decision, if Wilder can lands it’s likely over when he does.

100% correct.
I just don't know how he can avoid the big right for long.

The unorthodoxy of Wilder's style really helps him here for me. I’ve been critical of it in the past, and still expect anyone who can take it well enough and get up can outbox him. I’m not sure Joshua is that man. Though he carries his own power, but I was impressed with Wilder's chin against Ortiz.

I truly prefer pure boxers. Except for heavyweights. When I watch heavyweight fighters I want fireworks.
Hypocritical I know. But I'm honest.

No, i get that. Price Povetkin had people tuning in because Price can go at any time but he has the equaliser to stop a fighter too.

Joshua outboxes Wilder for 11 rounds , then Wilder throws first right hand of the night and knocks AJ spark out

The fight won't go the distance. AJ will do his best to outbox Wilder, but being slower and predictable, Wilder will hit him and KO him. It will be much easier for Wilder than vs Ortiz, who was a crafty southpaw. Orthodox fighters are much easier for Wilder to land on. I predict 6 rounds tops. AJ has a punchers chance too, but just not as likely because of his lack of speed, and predictability of his punches.
"AJ’s focus is on Deontay Wilder but we don’t believe his team want the fight so we have to look at other options. "
Lying sack Hearn is already putting it off, after saying he wants the fight next, saying he doesn't believe Wilder and his team really want the fight. I wish he was just honest enough to admit he is a liar, like Arum did.

Wilder by KO - they will feel each other out and feint and prod. AJ leaves himself wide open after missing lefts and that means Wilder hits him with the 1/2 and lights out.

my money would still be on AJ for better
composure. to me wilder is just crazy open
too often too long.
wilder's weakness is balance, AJ's is stamina.
mentally i think wilder made a boost by finding
out that in addition to a right hand he has a chin.
right now it is the fight in a boxing.

AJ is too bulky, wilder needs flesh on those
legs.

AJ, easy work probably, Wilder simply never fought someone who's used to top level fights. No Parker, no Takam, no Klutscko, no Povetkin, no Parker, no either Fury, no Breazeale even (yet), no Pulev, no Jun Long Zhang, no Whyte, no Chisora, no Andy Ruiz Jr
Luis Ortiz is the only one exception, and pulled it of, in that one, I think it was a 60/40 fight, in 10 matches, Ortiz would have won 4 I estimate.
There's a reason all the world championfight opponents are retired or lost matches after. You can't say such thing about Parker or AJ their opponents.

If he's hitting a fat, middle-aged man on hypertension meds -- it's surprising he doesn't get him out sooner.
That fight happened 3 years too late for Ortiz
![[icon_e_sad.gif] :verysad:](./images/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif)
.... One more shot and he had Wilder out of there.

I'm interested in Joshua's weight for this fight. At 18st he lost a lot of speed and stamina, but at 17 — and maybe it's a testament to Parker's ability — he seemed to be down on power somewhat.
I get the feeling that he thinks he can come in heavy and maul Wilder; he's alluded to as much. In that scenario he might be so dominant that his inner bully comes out and he walks onto a fight-ending shot.
Or if he comes in lighter to ensure matching stamina, he gives away speed and power. On these more equal terms, are his skills sufficiently superior? I think he should be too much if he decides on 245, but only really because he has the big-fight experience. I wouldn't bet much against Wilder at all, and I still feel that he's an intrinsically better fighter, if not boxer.

I would guess Wilder's body fat % for his last fight after being sick during camp was 5-7%. He is very lean, but packs a lot of muscle on his frame. I would guess AJ is 12-13%, and Ortiz was probably 25%. Just wild guesses based on seeing what a lot of guys used to fat test for wrestling.
The point is, if what you have is all muscle, and you are strong and athletic. 215-230 (Wilder's normal range) is enough weight to KO anyone. A lot goes into the mechanics of a hard punch, but I have always thought Speed + Strength = Power. There are always exceptions to that rule too. One example was Tim Bradley. Strong, quick, but not a hard puncher.

Wilder has Freakish power. Like in baseball...it's all about bat speed, but...the bigger the bat (weight) you can swing high-speed through the hitting zone, the more POWER you will have. SO it's speed and power. I believe some fighters who are fast, get KO's because their speed makes for more unseen punches. Speed with Power is best. IMHO.

There are three massive reasons why I want to see this fight and soon please God ...
1) It should sort out the question of who's da man at heavyweight.
2) It's an intriguing match and will hopefully be an equally great spectacle.
3) Please God it gives that tedious wanker, badhusker, the task of finding something else to bitch and whine about for the next two years other than Anthony Joshua and the embodiment of evil, Eddie Hearn.

If/When this fight happens, BoxREc.com's forum will immediately go down 25% of posts when the fight is over, unless there is (and please GOd no)...some sort of controversy.

I also want to see this fight happen within the next year or two. But there would have to be added incentives for when these two enter the ring together. Since recent heavyweight championship title fights have given us lackluster results, The promoter needs to give both Wilder and Joshua added motivation to make it a great, entertaining fight.
I say $100,000 grand extra to either fighter scoring a 1st round KO.
$75,000 for a KO before the 5th round.
$50,000 for a KO before the 10th round.
$25,000 for a KO before the closing bell.
$20,000 added in for any knockdowns or standing eight count against his opponent.
What do you guys think?

You'd have to add another zero or two to make the fighters actually G.A.S.
