I don't want to see GGG fighting a can in Vegas. He was preparing for a tough rematch against Canelo and now he wants a soft touch as replacement ?! LOL

I doubt that the IBF will cave into DiBella's demands by demanding that GGG faces Derevyanchenko in his very next outing, given that the Canelo bout was cancelled at such short notice.
It's interesting though that Tom Loeffler hasn't even attempted to make that fight or any others against high-profile names.
Perhaps GBP and K2 are anticipating a short six month ban for Canelo, so Tom Loeffler doesn't want to take any chances to scupper the possibility of the rematch against a tough opponent, by looking to take an "easy" voluntary defence instead, despite GGG already being committed to competing on the 5th May (for the sake of HBO, coupled with not wanting to waste an entire training camp).
I wouldn't blame Loeffler though, if this was his ploy.

Considering some of the fights they have allowed it is astonishing that the GGG camp dug deep enough to find an opponent the commission actually rejected.
A 21-year-old welter?
Really?

K2 are not involved in the promotion. It's GGG Promotions, who Loeffler is head of.. I agree with you though.

Isn't Tom Loeffler officially listed as the MD of K2?
Isn't GGG officially a K2 fighter?
Hasn't Tom Loeffler done nearly all the speaking about GGG's situation recently on both K2's and Golovkin's behalf?
Are you saying that both Tom Loeffler and GGG have left K2?

If it's a six months ban then I guess it would take some time for the rematch to get made.

I think he's still affiliated with K2. He's also started his own 360 Promotions..
Isn't GGG officially a K2 fighter?
Agin, as above, he might still be listed as a K2 fighter
Hasn't Tom Loeffler done nearly all the speaking about GGG's situation recently on both K2's and Golovkin's behalf?
Yes. Only on Golovkin's behalf. K2 have never been mentioned as far as I've read.
Are you saying that both Tom Loeffler and GGG have left K2?
All I know is, all the articles for the GGG-Canelo rematch, have listed GGG Promotions with Tom Loeffler as the voice.
https://www.BS.com/loeffler-un ... ch--123795
There is more information in the above article..
Best known for his association with K2 Promotions and the Klitschko brothers and then more recently IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin and GGG Promotions, Tom Loeffler will be expanding his horizon and starting up his own promotional company in 2018.
"It's going to be called '360 Promotions' which signifies that we do shows all over the world and we also work with everybody, meaning it's an inclusive circle," Loeffler told BS.com.
Loeffler explained further -
"The reason to start the new company is that GGG Promotions will do all of Gennady's fights, K2 will do (Oleksandr) Usyk's and Cecilia Braekus fights, in conjunction with K2 Ukraine for Usyk and 360 will give me more and leeway to sign other fighters."

Can Derevo make weight in one month and last more than three rounds after that?
By the way what happens with WBC 30-day weigh-in which should already have happened.

Last week, DiBella let everyone know Derevyanchenko was ready. This is the best fight to make considering all the circumstances.

do team ggg think there man is sliding? there trying to match him like there really worried to lose and they think someone even half decent could deliver that loss and ruin an eventual canelo 2 payday

DiBella must be a huge authority. Nobody IS ready between fights. Derevo didn't have any fight scheduled and can't possibly be ready at one month notice. Only journeymen take fights at such a short notice. DiBella does a good job creating publicity for his fighter though.

Derev would be much more interesting than the alternative junk fights they have been talking about for ggg, but i really wish they'd just kick those phony drug testers out of the picture and let him fight Canelo as planned, but not in creepy las vegas with all their bs judges and refs and fixed fights.

You have made a valid point. Indeed GGG is old and who knows how much the Canelo fight took from him. It's obvious that Jacobs and Canelo forced GGG to give almost all he got in the ring. They would probably cruising him with soft fights till the Canelo situation clarifies but as a boxing fan I want to see Golovkin fighting a live-body.

Derev would be a solid opponent for GGG.

It's obvious isn't it? After fighting Jacobs and Alvarez (&co) GGG is a ducker. We've known it all along! With his boring cowardly defensive negative style, juiced to the gills, handpicking opponents with the Las Vegas cartel in his pocket he needs to be taken down.
Seriously, if you really need to point fingers for ducking you can easily find dozens of better candidates. A more worthy champion is difficult to find.

Solid?
Derevyanchenko is the best opponent for GGG at MW. He could actually lose.

If GGG is on decline (and I believe he is) and Derevyanchenko will be well prepared for the fight, he can upset Gennady.

..I've not seen any signs of decline as yet...under the circumstances and to minimize criticism I'd say GGG should do a mandatory defenсe and sue Canelo (his team) for damages at the same time..

So, NSAC can lose that fight, and Munguia can be considered again:
