Actually ... a check-hook is NOT always a counter-punch ...

It's often a lead punch that is used when your opponent is moving in but not yet punching ...

He's trying to get inside to set-up his punch ...

... but you beat him to it ...

The check-hook comes right out of your normal stance ... it comes naturally ... with just a quick twist and drop of your lead left hand ...

...

its a counter punch.

dont throw your check hook and turn separately.
