Schwartz from Germany.

I've seen Schwarz fight Ilya Mezencev whom he overpowered and who is now campaigning as a cruiserweight I believe. He was the naturally bigger man but it was competitive while it lasted. I also saw him outpoint the younger (Denis) of the Lewandowski brothers.

I was mildly impressed but not blown away. He stopped the respectable Samir Nebo in four last time out but although he's further along at the moment, I see Hrgovic and Dubois as likely to surpass his achievements before long.

Bogdan Dinu seems reluctant to step up as he should be doing at his age 31. The winner of Wallin v Granat might be in the running but I think the next European heavies to make the jump from prospect to contender if I had to put my money down would be Joe Joyce and Sergei Kuzmin

What I like about Schwartz is that his fight planning seems to really have a step-up plan as he learns and executes something new every fight, or so it seems. I like non-skyrocketing prospects. They usually seem to build a better and more solid base of skills and instincts.

I really don't understand why he isn't challenging Michael Wallisch for the German title. He is 23 to Wallisch's 31 so if he lost it wouldn't be a disaster. It would be a good learning experience, and very exciting for the German fight-fans. It's about time Wallisch fought someone with a pulse too, and it puts the winner on course for another all-German clash for Agit Kabayel's EBU title.

I go by what's in front of a career in years and if they are proven or not as of yet. With respect to Kabayel, he was kind of on the cusp for me. The Chisora fight was holding me back a little. More than the EBU Euro championship. But I see your point.

I’m not sure whether he will end up going the furthest of the current young crop, but I am most interested in seeing how much Tony Yoka can achieve...

I grant you he's no spring chicken but I felt it would be remiss not to mention someone who's a European, and a "prospect" who should gatecrash the top ten before most who have been prospects for years. Haven't you heard, we aren't allowed to be ageist these days.

Kuzmin is already 30 too.

Nathan Gorman is a good allrounder just quietly learning his trade. I don't put him in the elite group of prospects neither would I write him off. He's very young and there are many years for improvement.

He practically is. But instead of fighting #74-ranked German 18-0 Michael Wallisch for the German title, he's fighting #75-ranked German 16-0 Senad Gashi for the Inter-Continental title.

Also, I think it's important to point out that you can't telepathically control the exact fighters that a prospect faces. You shouldn't be disappointed if they aren't fighting the exact, exact person that you wanted them to. Your expectations should be less specific than that.

Surely it's natural to expect the number one prospect to aspire to his national title (unless of course he's so talented his sights are set on contintal or world level). You can quote boxrec positions at me if you want but have you actually seen Senad Gashi's record? I'm familiar with the name but I had to look it up. He's only beaten a few opponents who have a winning record and one of those is 5 and 4.

The three most impressive wins are Davit Gorgoladze, Marino Goles, and Andres Csomor. The best thing I can say about those guys is that I am familiar with their names but I shrank from looking up their best wins, I anticipate it might be a bit depressing. I think it's important to recognize that it's possible under the rating formula to achieve a good low number just by maintaining an unbeaten record irrespective of the quality of the opposition .

Has anyone ever heard of "Tomas Salek"?

There are only 2 heavyweights in the top 100 that are 21 or younger and one of them is Nathan Gorman.
