AJ's Great Offer

by coneye
Just reading AJ claims he has made Wilder his priority and offered him a great deal . He says its one that he would jump at if he was offered ,, What it does'nt say is HOW MUCH ,, . iT DOES SAY ITS GREAT BECAUSE HE HAS GIVEN HIM A REMATCH CLAUSE FOR THE FIRST TO BE IN THE uk AND THE SECOND IN THE STATES .

What a crock of shite ,,, firstly there is NO WAY would Hearn or AJ accept a fight with Wilder , without a rematch clause , and secondly any rematch would have to be in the states , simply because it would be a big enough fight to sell big time over there , hence making more money .

So take them two bits of bollocks out of the great offer scenario , and you have , what , just the purse now if that is anywhere near less than 60-40 its a blatant duck.

We can however thank the WBA , because without them ordering AJ to have his mandatory , we could of been treated to , another 12 months of Eddie sprouting rubbish and bollocks and , Aj in private not wanting the fight , yhat info i base upon watching the interview with Mchracken , where he says outright , Hearns does'nt say who he fights , Aj and himself decide who and when , and he did'nt want it till 2019 .. Now the pressure is on , If they don't take the fight with Wilder , it could be purse bids , it could be in Russia , and AJ has a good chance of losing

Well, if you don't like it, decline it? I also rather see the Povetkin fight TBH. Maybe Wilder should ditch the WBC and fight himself into a mandatory position. Which he probably can't, but imagine if.

Hell the offer has just been made let's see what happens.
No one knows what this offer is at this point.
Let's see if anything materializes

Let me get this straight, Joshua claims he would jump at the offer they have made Wilder?

Kind of insinuates Wilder is getting as much as Joshua doesn't it?

Funny, when if these's one thing we can be absolutely certain of, it is that Joshua is getting more out of the offer than Wilder is.

Well, I can understand AJ preferes the more easy fight next, so it's logic he wants the Wilder fight as his priority, but I as a boxing fan prefere to see him fighting Povetkin. Wilder hasn't really earned it. I also hope Parker will fight Luis Ortiz next, I think Ortiz will lose nearly all rounds. Maybe Fury can even do it.

Wilder has earned a shot at all the belts by holding the WBC one.

If Joshua is telling us how good the deal is then you can bet it's not so good for Wilder, having said that Wilder makes pennies compared to Joshua to maybe he should take it if it's the best payday he's ever had or going to have, with his power he stands a good chance of winning too.

Thinking about the offer. Surely they just use Wilders own claims as a basis.

He has claimed he will take 60/40,
He has claimed he will come to the UK
He said he wants a rematch clause in the US

So you offer those as basic, then go into figures. This fight could easily be a 100m sort of fight. It is for the undisputed heavyweight crown, wilder will never have a chance of making the money he will for this.

I cannot see how hard it is to negotiate a deal. That is unless wilder is talking bollox

I think he's saying that if he were in Wilder's position, i.e having one belt to Joshua's 3 and earning almost 10x less per fight, he would jump at the offer.
Funny, when if these's one thing we can be absolutely certain of, it is that Joshua is getting more out of the offer than Wilder is.
I expect he is and so he should. He's the one with 3 belts. He's the one making all the money. And let's not forget, how many offers (of any kind) have Wilder's team made? Zero. They do a lot of talking and complaining but they aren't actually backing their words up with actions.

I think a 60/40 split for a fight in the UK with a rematch in the US splitting 60/40 for the winner of the first fight is more than fair. It wouldn't surprise me at all if this offer was less than that because that's how negotiations work.

This is exactly what I think that Joshua meant with hes comment.

I don't think that Wilder deserves to get 40%.

30% sounds about right to me.

Wilder makes pennies compared to Joshua.

even joe parker as an aj opponent made about 5x what wilder did vs ortiz, wilder needs aj for huge money, to say any offer at all below 40 percent = duck is lame

why are some ppl so eager to try and act like joshua is ducking? why buy into wilders side but immediately cry 'con artist liar!!' at what ajs side says?

how about actually looking at how ambitiously hes been moved, esp compared to wilder. no hw has been matched as tough as fast in years. and there is no time or evidence of a case where the fight clearly shouldve happened but ajs side ducked.

Wilder is the master at shooting his mouth off. Have to wait to see if he actually signs up.
If the offer is 60/40 and in the UK and he dosent sign, then woe is him.

I'm not massively arsed about this bout.

Fury is the fight i'd like to see.

Well like i said , a rematch clause is'nt a favor , its just basic commonsence and good buisness , only a idiot manager / promoter , holding and risking 3 titles would'nt insist on one , In the states once again common sence , the first would generate enough interest thats where the big dollars would be .

If Joshua has offered less than 60-40 he obviously does'nt want it , , fair enough he is the draw and he holds 3 belts but he would be getting 20% more plus home advantage ,, on the other hand if Wilder did'nt accept that , well fornicate him he mus'nt want it either , so freeze him out , personaly i think Eddie has been correct all along when he has said mandetorys could come into it , if the fight is'nt made soon , and i'm sure he will want the big one with Wilder has opposed to the Russian

joshua makes like 10x what wilder does, 60-40 is actually seriously overpaying wilder based on financial power, i dont see how you could say anything below 40 is a duck

even joe parker with less then 40 percent just made 5x what wilder got for his battle with ortiz, even low 30s is vastly greater then what wilder makes

why is the blame on aj to massively overpay opponents? why not blame opponents who turn down what would easily be career high paydays by several times?

Joshua last 3 fight attendances come in at around 240k max (2x 75k 1x 90k)
Wilder last 3 fight attendances come in at around 56k max (2x 19k 1x 17.6k)

Wilder is yet to headline his own PPV, his last fight v Ortiz drew a peak showtime viewing of 1.2m.

Joshua sold 1.5m PPV in the UK for the wlad fight, (cannot find for Takam or parker) but that is huge.

All in all AJ brings 3 belts, he brings PPV in the UK, he sells stadiums and he probably brings alot more of the sponsorship money. 60/40 is the fairest split to both sides given the level thry bring.

If wilder doesn't accept that then it is he who is ducking after his comments in the media.

and last payday about £15m aj vs 1.5m wilder

joe parker took less then 40 percent and still got 5x what wilder got vs ortiz, 40 percent is generous for sure

It should be Povetkin his belt for quite some years now and even if it wasn't Povetkin his, then still Whyte should be the owner right now. I'm not sure if the WBC has changed their rules in favor of Wilder again, but in the past the beltholder was suppost to face it's mandatory at least once every 1,5 years and have at least 3 fights over such a period, Wilder has achieved neither has he?

So he should have gone into a fight with a broken hand and torn bicep against someone who failed a drug test, or lose his belt? Povetkin was going to get to fight Stivern for the Interim belt when Wilder was injured but he tested positive for a SARM

Or he should ditch his belt so then you can accuse him of ducking Dillian Shyte, and how he can get up the rankings to be mandatory in a few years.

Takam for example. Also, I said a few years ago, Wilder has been waiting many years before fighting Ortiz.
If you look at the WBC rules, Wilder is not even close near following it's rules.
