Tyson fury returning on the 9th june opponent tba. he has signed a multi fight deal with allegedly. realistically his opponent wont be anyone big but I think it will be a known name anyway good to see him making his comeback

I’d like to see Fury engage in three relatively easy comeback fights in quick succession, in order to keep him away from the pub, against relative journeymen and then for his fourth bout onwards start gradually improving calibre of opposition against European to borderline world-class fighters.

I wouldn’t want to see Tyson Fury face the likes of Deontay Wilder or Anthony Joshua any earlier than October 2019.

I don’t want Fury’s comeback to resemble Ricky Hatton’s, where his physique looks the part but his fitness levels being much lower than they would normally be.

If they pick Price it could be a short lived comeback. I'm sure that David Price would accept that fight without hesitation and it would certainly be a high profile comeback.

An ex-world champion can't fight just anybody and perhaps it's just the kind of test that Fury needs to find out if he can get his mojo working once more.

If he was still active and you wanted an American then Malik Scott would be the perfect opponent, as he can’t punch his way out of a paper bag. Even after such a long stretch of inactivity Fury should be able to beat almost anyone up to the higher echelons of the top 15 but the first fight back needs to be riskless...

Yes back when Johnson still had some credibility.

But Johnson can still go rounds (except with Joshua) so Fury would figure to get in some work.

Well, there's a reason Wilder ran away scared for a 20 year old Hughie Fury, to fight Duhaupas (who lost against Pianeta) instead and actually called Duhaupas the best opponent he has ever had..

Johnson doesn't mind traveling overseas, has a bit of a name and probably fights cheap.

And he's a safe opponent.

Briggs, who Fury has no intention of fighting first, would probably want a sizeable purse. Warren wouldn't agree to what Briggs might demand.

And Briggs would have a shot in the dark puncher's chance. Johnson doesn't.

The infatuation with Fury is excrutiating to watch. The guy hasn't fought for three years and his only big win is a close point decision win against a declining Klitschko in a fight where he was the bigger man and ran around for most of the fight.
And yet there are people out there in Britain who are probably ready to pay PPV money to see him fight bums like Briggs.
You gotta give it to Tyson though, the man is a marketing genius when it comes to knowing what a casual brit boxing fan wants.

I could give a sh#t about his boxing ability. I just think the guy is the most hilarious crazy man I've seen in the sport for a long time and it shakes things up!
