C'mon...first fight back. He's not looking for a statement, he's looking to just get back in the ring. If it's true, so what?

If I were them, I'd be evaluating and planning after the first fight before deciding next steps. He could look great! He could look like sh$t; but...it certainly can turn out like what you said. I just like having him back in the mix. He really gets into Joshua's head.
