Dwight Ritchie moved to 17-1 with a win over the previously unbeaten Emmanual Carlos on Friday night in Melbourne.

There were about 14 bouts in all. Boxrec not up to speed yet. But some of the other winners on the night were Kyle Webb, Shaun Thomas, Marco Orlovic and Jack Light.

Ritchie is the fighting cowboy.

He's 26. Is 17-1. Fights orthodox. What else would you like to know?

He turned pro under age and about 4 of his wins were taken off his record wich is silly :box: great tactical fighter :TU:

Thanks Clive! He looks like a tissue puncher in a very talented division. I saw the 4 no contests and laughed. Before our time Tami Mauriello used his cousin's identification to get his boxing license at 16 y/o. He didn't have his underage wins taken off. I find that pretty dumb.

if anyone finds his fight with koki tyson let me know, i thought that wouldve been one where richie widely outboxed him so i was a bit surprised at the result, granted koki does have power, but wouldnt have thought it wouldve been enough

considering richie had 4 fights underaged, im actually a bit surpsided he hasnt been more active, 18 fights since 2009 isnt much

ya, ritchie is a skillful guy but hes lacking in any sort of serious fire power or raw explosiveness

you can see what richies about in that clips. good skills, with a nice jab that he was even throwing 4-5 times in a row, good pivots, knows when to make the right moves, nice combos and mix to head and body etc. but really no power and not fast either. so hes prone to being overwhelm by physically more gifted guys,. im guessing that happened with koki

ritchie is the kind of guy who could make a good trainer when hes done himself in the ring

Robs himself of power , with the lack of front foot movement , tends to spin his right foot around and leave the left front where it was , Hence robbing himself of balance and power , Just my little observation after watching for 30 seconds ,

from what i saw, he mainly pivoted while punching when he was in a corner or near the ropes, and he seemed to be using it as a way to score a blow at the same time he was able create more room for himself. the japanese fighters game seemed to be trying to pin him down in the spot but moves like that made it harder.

i actually thought it was pretty crafty tbh.it may well take some power but it looked like it helped him fight the fight he wanted.
