I like Breazeale but I think he's going to absorb a lot of punishment and get stopped on his feet around the 7th or 8th

Hearn said Wilder should just fight Breazeale because his team doesn't get along. He blamed them not accepting an offer from them because they don't get along, before he

even made an offer.

I'd have to go with Wilder and probably inside the distance because that's what he does. Having said that I've a lot of respect for Breazeale: He might be slow and lacking technique, but he has bags of heart, is tough and durable, is a good if not spectacular puncher, and is guaranteed to give his all.
He is certainly no pushover for Deontay but Izuagbe Ugonoh showed that Breazeale can be dropped if you catch him right with a big shot - Izu's a good puncher but he's no Deontay Wilder.
Breazeale would still be Deontay's second toughest defence.

And yet another crappy post by you. Was Breazeale a crappy defense by Joshua?

Joshua took Brazeale's O in his 17th fight, not his 41st. If Joshua fought Brazeale again right now, it would be a mismatch. Brazeale is not a title contender for either Wilder or Joshua- he has not earned that right, he has been gifted it.

I don't disagree Kiwi you make good points, but I do think Breazeale is a tougher test for Deontay than anyone he has faced other than Luis Ortiz, and maybe Bermane Stiverne first time around. Wilder should win but Breazeale is like Duhaupas only bigger, and look at Wilder's banged-up face at the end of the Duhaupas fight. I see Wilder v Breazeale maybe 70/30 although I wouldn't argue 65/35 nor 75/25.
I've no objection to Dominic Breazeale being Deontay's next defence but it should be voluntary defence. The fact that Sulaiman has leap-frogged Breazeale ahead of their number one contender, Whyte, despite promises made, and their own rules treated with contempt, is a perfecr example of corruption and collusion between Sulaiman and Haymon. I'm more convinced than ever that Alexandr Povetkin was a previous victim of that same unholy alliance, and for partially the same reasons.

An early 1-2 from Wilder and its goodnight Breazeale.
Over in 4...

Easy defense for Wilder. Hopefully Deontay will get Joshua after this defense.

Just a gym workout for Wilder.
If it occurs (a lot of guys are talking but no contracts yet) Wilder will bide his time, take it 5 or 6 rounds, and then turn up the heat.
Breazeale will quickly fold when that happens.

Well, yes he was right? I thought it was AJ his first and worst defence ever. I can't remember Breazeale touching AJ once in any of the rounds. AJ didn't even go for the KO and he was already down several times. Still, Breazeale would be one of the best boxers Wilder ever fought against.
Oh wait, maybe Molina is even worse, but that's really it.
And Joshua’s title fight was against someone better than Breazele/Molina???
Both AJ and DW had two Top10 opponents each.

Outside of Joshua i'm fairly satisfied with this fight. Im still pretty upset about the Whyte situation, but Breazeale has been fairly active and successful, so I always believed he'd be in the frame.
I expect it to go in a very similar way to the Joshua fight. He's pretty slow and ponderous and expect Wilder to ship a lot of punishment before stopping him late on.

I think Breazeale might surprise us. I'm not saying he's going to win, don't get me wrong but I think he's a better fighter than the Breazeale who struggled to make headway against Amir Mansour, if no faster.
He had no success against Joshua but AJ had an advantage in speed, skill and power, and could match Breazeale for physical strength, He was on a bit of a hiding to nothing.
Deontay has a massive advantage in speed and power but he doesn't have vastly superior boxing skill and he isn't accustomed to fighting someone of equal height. He won't match Breazeale for physical strength and I think Dom is capable of cutting the ring off, forcing Deontay into clumsy off-balance retreats by rushing attacks, and bullying him at close quarters.
The danger is of course getting caught on the way in because as tough and game as Breazeale undoubtedly is, he did get dropped by Ugonoh, and if Izu can drop him then Deontay certainly can turn out his lights.
I give him a better chance than any challenger to date bar Ortiz though.

Breazeale is quite a bit better than Gerald Washington now, but he's a long way from being a World Champion unless he gets a lucky punch in... His strength and endurance aren't where they need to be 6 years after he turned pro... He's soft... He's big and strong enough to knockout his last 2 opponents, but not where a guy 6’7” X 255 with a background as a top collegiate quarterback should be 6 years into his pro boxing career... He should be 50% better.
He could have played in the NFL making several million a year rather than be a 2nd rate Heavyweight. His boxing skills are 2nd rate and he’s taking a lot of punishment. It's disappointing. I see him getting knocked out in 10 or 11 rounds. It'll be a tough, hard fight like Wilder-Ortiz, but he’s not an old man like Ortiz... He would beat a guy Wilder’s size if he had a good strength trainer and boxing coach... He’ll be out-boxed and out punched. It’s not going to be pretty.
