Vanes has 3 losses, but he's never been stopped. All 3 losses were to more boxer type fighters, and all 3 were competitive. He has good size for 154, and fought a couple of times near MW, so I think he will fill out his frame well for the fight. Not having fought in almost 2 years is worrisome though.

The IBF usually abide by their own rules and it superficially seems that Gennady is participating in an unsanctioned bout, which theoretically means that his title should be declared vacant.

This is a mismatch. Nobody can pretend otherwise.

It's a fight that I wil enjoy myself watching on the 5th. If you don't want to watch it, simply don't. Nobody thinks Vanes has a shot to win, I just want to see how G3 looks in regards to his last two fights. A G3 with a lot of gas left in the tank should win in 4 rounds. A G3 that has slipped some should win by 8. If G3 is just about at the end of his rope, it goes late.

Vanes is unranked because he hasn't fought in a while. If he did, he'd be ranked in the top 10. Again, if you don't want to watch it, don't.

If Lomachenko is capable of battering this guy, what's Golovkin going to do to him!
