Hard to find any vids other than amateur. This kid is smooth in the ring and shows great instincts. He can slip punches and is a good counterpuncher. He has more than enough size and power. He came to boxing when he was rehabbing a knee injury suffered while playing AAU basketball and fell in love with it. His movement are extremely natural, and while the fighter in this video is no great shakes, I look forward to watching his development and march towards contendership.

I looked for some amateur credentials but he hasnt competed on the NATIONAL level, at least not in the US. This article says he fought in Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico & US. Must have been strictly local amateur fights in Florida.
He looks good in the video, but his opponent is strictly local talent, hard to tell whether he will go places. Nice uppercut, but he throws it from pretty far back.

Most of the prospects I follow have some kind of significant amateur credentials. The trouble with American HW prospects that have amateur credentials is that after they have about 10 pro bouts they fail to step up the level of competition and often slip into inactivity (or at least their fistic development stagnates).
Someone recently did a thread on Darmani Rock, who recently fought a scrub in his 10th or 11th pro bout. That seems to be the pattern most American HW prospects seem to fall into after a few years as pros. I'm thinking about doing a thread on US heavy prospects with solid amateur resumes but its a rather depressing topic because none of them seem to be stepping up.
The most promising one right now could be Marcus Carter who is only 20 and is 5-0, but hasnt fought in over a year!!

Darmani Rock is and always will be a journeyman at best, IMHO. I find 3 - 5 young guys to follow and I'll usually get 1 or 2 who make a name, and occasionally a good one. Wilder was my last one that made it. I liked his athleticism from the start even though he wasn't dominant in the amateurs. He reminded me of Mark Breland, but with power, and when he went with Breland, I was sold. I've had more than my share of failures. Joe Abell was one. When he fought Lyons, I was so pissed! lol!. It's fun. I saw your post on 20 and under. Dubois was throughout that post, but I think he's a couple or three years away, if his management is smart. He can really be something if handled correctly. I'll check out Carter this evening.
