Tyson Fury comeback on TV?

This is a bit of a strange one. When the comeback was announced last week no TV broadcaster was announced. If it was going to be on B0xnati0n or BT Sport they would have been banging the drum about it. All very quiet.
When BT announced they will be launching BT Sport Box Office, earlier this week, speculation grew the Fury comeback would be their first PPV show however Warren confirmed yesterday the fight won't be PPV.
BT are closing their Freeview channel BT Showcase next month as from next season they have no obligation to show any Champions League or Europa League games free to air. They will be providing more free content via their YouTube channel and are keen to raise their YouTube profile.
I wonder if the Fury comeback will be streamed, free for everyone, via the BT Sport YouTube channel?
I can't think of any other platform that would be showing the fight.

I believe there was a possibility it would be PPV depending on a couple of big fights they were lining up for the same bill and tying it to Horn v Crawford as a combined PPV for BT PPV at a knock down price. Basically a test run. Obviously (even if this was ever a plan) that’s not going to happen now and I believe it’ll be on BT.
Personally I think the best option to build Tyson in to a proper PPV fighter would be for him to fight every couple of months and look good against lowish ranking guys (Ustinov, Price, Washington, Briggs, etc types) and build a following keeping him in the media with constant build ups to fights he looks good in.
PS - Briggs shouldn’t be allowed near a ring again but you get my point

As far as I'm aware, its on BN/BT as normal, not PPV
It's interesting how Fury's stock has risen during his period out of the ring. He's so boring/ugly to watch that when he's actually active, people go out of their way to avoid watching him, but now, 3 years of inactivity later, he's potentially PPV!

What's gonna be the drill with BT PPV? Will BN subscribers still get PPV fights as part of their subscriptions or will we just cancel? Seems like another kick in the bollux for boxing fans! I've been a subscriber to BN from day 1 but if they start putting fights on PPV I'll be cancelling. There's a massive difference between being loyal and being a fuckin mug!

He’s had a lot of very good fights.

He’s had a couple (Cunningham, Pajkic) but I wouldn’t say he’s a lot.
He’s put on some good boxing displays (Chisora fights, Hammer even Klitschko) but they weren’t good fights.

Depends what you like I suppose. I quite enjoy watching Tyson go to work

McDermott 1 and Del 1 were decent fights. AJ has had 1.

He’s had more than 1. Whyte and Klit were both FOTY candidates and both better fights than any involving Fury.

Both have had good fights, they just have different styles and attributes. I enjoy watching them each box equally and I wouldn’t say either is exactly in back and forth barn burners - buts that’s the thing with top level heavyweights, there isn’t many of them to make many properly competitive fights at elite level.
Let’s be honest, Joshua isn’t thrill a minute either.

If anyone thinks Whyte v Joshua was anywhere near FOTY stuff they are deluded! Joshua boxed well and got tagged once but it was hardly a back and forth war. Whyte basically got outboxed, our fought and comprehensively stopped. Hardly Barrera v Morales was it?

The Whyte fight was very one sided, Wlad had drama but I think is slightly overrated due to AJ lying on the ropes for three rounds like Frank Bruno on Valium whilst Wlad sort of body popped in front of him.

There needs to be a forum moratorium on all this until they fight, it's fornicating boring.

Yes - they were decent fights but I’d suggest saying he’s had lots of very good fights is wrong.

I fully agree. Dirk is single handedly ruining the forum.

We've all chipped in and had a say but surely everyone has had enough of it. Tyson coming back can only be a good thing if the argument is finally going to be settled.
Everything else has been done to death a thousand times.

It goes both ways Mickey. I sometimes don’t agree with some of your or his thoughts and I disagree fully when Dirk gets personal but you were the first person to mention AJ on this thread.

i thought cunninhgam vs fury was better then whyte vs aj. whyte had 1 good round and rocked aj, cunningham had a few good rounds and actually floored fury, there was more competitiveness and drama with fury going down but then coming back from behind to win
fury was fun early on but in his last 3 is much different and adopted a negative almost exclusively jab and move style thats awful to watch. chisora 2 is up there for the worst fight ive seen, even worse then vs wlad, tbh id rather watch aj take a dump then those fights

The Kingpin fight was worse than Chisora 2, but I don't blame Fury for the fact that the opponents didn't force the issue and Fury soundly outpointed them. Hell he never got out of first gear in the Chisora rematch and TKO'd the man, quitting in his corner, mostly from jabs.

Why should Fury wait for opponents to force the issue? Joshua didn’t stand around jabbing Johnson, he smashed him up as quickly as he could. That’s why Joshua has such a huge following, whereas Fury can’t shift tickets at all.

What did his huge following think when he darent throw his right against Parker?
