He's apparently very litigious and the Boxrec staff doesn't want to take any chances is my understanding.

I always just refer to him on here as Fwank

I'm actually shocked that more boxers and promotions haven't sued boxrec and other forums.

For what? Fan opinions? Has anyone ever been successful sued for an opinion of something?

Successfully? As in...he won the case?

Attempted to sue somebody doesn't really mean d*ck.

Floyd's a moron if it was settled for more than zero dollars, and his lawyer would have to suck balls if he couldn't win that case.

well there are actually slander and libel laws so you legally cant say whatever and be totally immune for it, i dont know about floyd vs pac but why was floyd an idiot for settling, what was the law and what did he say?

also did floyd say it was merely his hunch, or did he outright say it as if fact

In the US at least.....defamation has to be a false statement of fact that causes actual damages.

That would be very hard to prove when the “defamation” you would allege is most likely going to sound like an opinion and is coming from a forum populated by nobodies and read by a relatively small number of people.

The lawsuit was dropped altogether and the terms were never disclosed. We only know that both parties agreed to pay for their own legal fees.

It wasn't Manny's argument that frightened Floyd but what might have to be disclosed to win it. He simply could not take that risk.

Pac sued Oscar DLH too for his comments, and I believe DLH also chose to settle.
