Had a career he can look back and be proud of but he's been shot to shít for ages now. His last good performance was Chisora donkeys years ago. He's not gonna make it to a ring again without falling apart!

He was a very good cruiser.

his style depended on reflexes and speed,
and these suffer from layoffs and age first.
so there is no shame in how things ended
for him.

all in all a valuable addition to the scene
even at heavy. i am happy vor every boxer
who can go out with his head still in tact and
enough money in the bank.

I never liked too much Haye as a boxer, but, no one can tell that he's a fraud, is a top ten cruiser of all time.

Haye' fixed fights:

His two comeback fights were obvious dives.

The Valuev fight was a fixed decision "win"

The wink and nod dive by his buddy Harrison.

More disgusting Haye displays at heavyweight:

All sorts of crooked tricks against Barrett including having his hotel res cancelled so he couldn't sleep the night before. In house ref not calling knockdown. Inhouse everything. Like Las Vegas.

His pre fight behavior towards Wlad. He should have been arrested for assault or harrassment. Followed by his humiliating display during the so called fight when his knees turned to rubber, and then he took his shoe off...

A lot of people saw through Haye a long time ago, but EVERYONE sees through him now.

There might be calls for him to fight Price, or Haye Day III: The Return of Mark De Mori or some other crap bout he can put on in the O2, but fight fans won't ne buying it.

To be fair, there would be little or no need to pay Mark De Mori or Arnold Whathisname to take dives.

Two random fat blokes stumbling out of a pub half drunk could have beaten those two without breaking sweat.

Heck, i'd be proud of a boxing career like Haye's. He sold himself extremely well as his ability never ever lived up to the hype that he himself created and was paid for throughout his career. To me, that's pretty brilliant. He was also able to call himself a world champion in the process. He shouldn't have to worry about money if he was relatively smart with it. I imagine a logical next step would be ringside announcing with that same charisma would make a lot of people happy.

Honestly, I wish that the focus was more on Bellew's performance and how this kid' is finishing off his career. I hope that he doesn't retire yet because i'd love to see him in a few more big fights. Obviously the jump in weight after the loss to Adonis was huge.

Neither di Mori nor Gyergjaj were fat. Both were in good shape and both were way better than they pretended to be in those "jobs". Some guys posted vids on youtubes analyzing those two so called fights, the Harrison one too (which even made the front page of the british sporting press and not in a good way). Don't know if they're still up or if youtube and/or Haye's lawyers got them removed. Youtube loves to censor videos.

I wonder why Hayes gone silent? Apart from his instagram post Sunday congratulating Bellew he's been very quiet. All I can assume from the delay is he isn't ready to call it quits yet.

I'm sure he has a lot of reflecting to do. Something that's been part of his life for 20+ years is over.

Yes you maybe right, I thought he actually retired. Even so he only had a limited time left in the sport, he was the first to admit that, if he can't immediately retire after two stoppage defeats (when he said he would) then I can only assume he needs the money. It must be a bitter pill to swallow losing to Bellew twice after everything thats been said. To top it all Bellew even appeared in a Hollywood blockbuster which must stick in his throat all the more.

Yes, Haye was a bit of a "clown show", that somehow gained a heavyweight title. I never did like him much, but I do wish I had his money!!

Legitimate sports don't have endless fancy ring entrances with fireworks and masks and WWE-style "pressers" and right in your face corruption, and while boxing has always been infested with criminals they used to try to keep it more subtle, and almost all boxers used to behave like sportsmen and not like bellowing WWE cartoon freaks. The decline started with Clay-Ali i believe, who i think very little of as a boxer and a person. He himself said he patterned his act on the famous wrestling "heel" Gorgeous George.
