In DSG's bio here on the site there's a footnote regarding him being suspended until August of this year from NAC but I can't find any details surrounding the suspension. Was this because of his Dad's racist comments leading up to his last fight? or?

A lot of these fighters have suspensions after a fight according to Boxrec. They are usually medical suspensions or something benign like that.

Thank you bud. I had a feeling that it was something like that but it's usually when a fighter gets beat up pretty good in a fight and that didn't happen against Rios in his last one out.

I used to wonder about the suspensions too, but you see them on almost every fighter's record.

I believe most are just cautionary and brief.

If Garcia spouted any racial comments, it's very unlikely that it would ever effect his son's status.

Bad behavior is the norm in pre-fight buildups, especially from daddy Garcia.
