A lot of these MMA guys are a bit insecure.
I don't follow the sport, but have awareness of who is in it etc.
A fair proportion of them start out with boxing, don't make any real impact or have any success and end up doing this. Of course that isn't the case with all of the top guys, but certainly the low end, local leisure centre stuff around my way is full of in effect, failed boxers who do a bit of BJJ and think they can beat everyone up in a street fight.
The bottom line is AJ is an Olympic Gold medalist and a World Heavyweight Champion, joining a list of names including Louis, Marciano, Liston, Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Tyson, Lewis and the Klit brothers. That's pedigree.
AJ is a household name, a multi-millionaire and will be talked about for decades. Whether or not some MMA guy thinks he can beat him up in a fight is not going to be of any relevance to anyone other than this MMA guy and a few mongos in TapOut T-shirts.

To be fair it was just one sentence in what looked like a very long interview that had been cut to a short clip. Not like he's constantly going on about it or anything or calling Aj out

I think he was just highlighting how hard his sport is and the differences between boxing

How is he a dweeb? When you see him real life he's surprisingly big an tall. I've seen big fellas get battered by smaller men many times its not as if Till is five foot 2 an 9 stone

He's talking about a street fight right? I think he's just confident that AJ only knows boxing, so if Till can take him down without getting caught it would be game over. I don't think thats so far fetched. Sure if AJ had a free shot on him he'd knock him out, but in a street fight situation Till is clearly the more skilled and rounded fighter.

I've never heard of the bloke but in some disciplines a guy that size can get the better of a big old unit, even a beast like AJ. But if AJ lands properly it's lights out for most.

I think it’s a big if re: Till being able to take AJ down in a street. MMA has rules but if it’s a street fight what’s to stop AJ from whacking Till to the back of the head or going for the eyes?! It’s not as though Till is a top wrestler/judoka and his spent his life putting people on their back - he’s an ex kickboxer.

Yes - he’s a more rounded fighter and he may well win an MMA fight but a street fight’s a different game.

Street fighting includes biting, gouging, bottles, sneak shots, stomping etc

What happens if Joshua, who’s trained for precision, detonates one right hand on this bloke as he’s coming in and then decides he wants to eat his unconscious face off?

These mythical street fight chats are embarrassing. In theory, anyone here could beat both in a street fight. Whilst they’re not looking hit them as hard as you can over the head with a wine bottle.
