Nobody's talking about it, but really this is the main course. SOLID undercard, filled with future stars and champions.
Muhammad Waseem (PAK) vs Moruti Mthalane (RSA)
IBF Flyweight title
Waseem was WBC's #1 contender to face Daigo Higa several months ago but ended up forgoing the shot due to lack of funds. He's had money problems for most of his career, and cut his amateur career short ending up pro in the first place under a South Korean promoter Andy Kim who ultimately stopped subsidizing him last year as he wasn't making financial return. Part of it is very tragic that he can't secure sponsors in Pakistan, or get any British-Pakistanis in the industry to help him out when he has such an opportunity at his finger tips. Part of it is also Waseem being a bitch, crying about not getting money from his government (which could feed a village for a year, if you think about it) while he trains with Jeff Mayweather before every titlefight, which I assume isn't cheap either. I'm hoping he wins the IBF title, and we can see him defend on Superfly or somewhere in the US or UK.
Jhack Tepora (PHI) vs Edivaldo Ortega (MEX)
IBO Featherweight title
Carlos Canizales (VEN) vs Lu Bin (CHN)
WBA (Regular) Light Flyweight title
Lu Bin is aiming to be the fastest world champion by attempting to win the WBA title in his 2nd pro fight. He'll probably fail, and for good reason. His accolades aren't as impressive as multiple AIBA world titles or Olympic medals. Amateur champs from Central-Asia with better accolades have had to work their way up. Seems like Lu Bin is being fast-tracked just to capitalize on the Chinese market. If he ends up winning (or Carlos takes the fall), he's an instant superstar overnight.
Terry Tzouramanis (AUS) vs Jayar Inson (PHI)
Juan Miguel Elorde (PHI) vs TBA
Muhamad Farkhan (MAL) vs TBA
