My memory is a bit fuzzy on this, but I'm pretty sure that he once, during in a post-fight interview, announced that he had diarrohea and then asked his girlfriend to marry him.

His world title fights were pretty dramatic - a bullshit decision to Woodhall, who, upon hearing the decision shook his head - acknowledging he hadn't won and went over to speak to Carley. Great (and unfortunately rare) sportsmanship.
Winning the title in the final round, in an away from home KO was as dramatic as it gets, as was losing it in the same circumstances.

I doubt he would have made a lot, certainly not to live a life of luxury anyway, besides most people get bored and have to find something to do.

But he had quite a few overseas fights so I would have thought he'd have made enough to start a business or something.

Some people piss money away, some get into dodgy business deals and lose a lot of money, depends on his circumstances not to mention the taxes he'd have had to pay.

Hope Glenn is doing well as always think he didn't get his dues for his overseas performances or just as a boxer in general, in large part because of coming from Bristol rather than somewhere like London or Manchester. I'm also willing to bet that for the same reason he didn't ever take home great purses, so not surprised he's having to graft.

It is the opposite he got good purses for fighting away hence he rarely fought at home when he became champion. He saved his money and doing fine.

If you are mandatory challenger or the champion and it goes to bids is good also though if your team want it home you might have to agree a less figure. They still bid the full amount to gain home advantage.
