Ike Ibeabuchi's professional boxing record was 20 wins and no losses. Ike won 15 fights by way of knockout.

In July, 1999, Ike had some legal troubles. Ibeabuchi's pro boxing career ended. Had Ike not had these legal troubles, had Ibeabuchi kept his mental head together. ---------

1. Did Ike have the ability to have become one of the top great heavyweight boxers of all time?

2. Could Ike Ibeabuchi have become one of the top great heavyweight boxers of all time?

If so, why? If not, why not?

Please explain.

He looked like a real deal prospect, but all time ranking sound too much for him. Just like for any good prospect. You talk about the possibility of boxer's all time potential only after that boxer does something great. Ike defeated two other top prospects, who would have become top fighters of their times, but not the great ones. Though Tua decision was disputable, I'd say.

He could be a top fighter of late 90s - early and mid 00s, however. If he earned the shot against Lewis, he would have lost. He could handle Ruiz though. After Lewis times he maybe could have won Byrd again, or maybe the likes of Brewster, Liakhovich, Briggs, Valuev. While the guys like Sanders or Peter, or maybe Rahman could be tougher calls. Klitschkos would have definitely been too much for him.
