What's Next For Martin Murray?

Do any of you care? Seems like most like him but aren't bothered about watching him. He's the anti-Marmite
He's 36 in 3 months and - if they don't reschedule the Saunders fight - two years away from a title shot.
I can't see him beating Charlo, Andrade or Jacobs plus his purse would be small.
He ain't ranked by the WBA so that's a shot at Murata out.
The only bout I can see him earning a decent amount of money in is a Eubank comeback shot but even though won't be huge.
Is there anything else out there for him? Maybe the WBA could create a belt for him & Paul Smith so one of them finally wins a world title

I'd like to see Jason Welborn for the British title.

He is only just maybe slightly above British level, that's debatable though.

Welborn has done incredibly well to win the British title but Murray would beat him comfortably...

He can't fight in the US, mate.
Plus, I think Canelo will want a bigger name if GGG is in a unification bout.

Eubank Jr for the newly-vacant IBO SMW strap...

He drops down to British level or lower all of the time. He just does it against foreigners instead of British opponents.
Welborn is world ranked by at least one of the governing bodies (the June updates haven't been done by all of them yet), so it's not like it's worthless as far a world title ambitions go either.

His not gunna go from a world title shot falling thru to fighting for the British title where the champ has no big promoter which means no money.

As my post above yes he cud get a world ranking by beating welborn but with neither being with a big promoter no money in the fight.

So what's he going to do instead to make him money?
Fighting some foreign nobody is going to bring in the big bucks?

I think his stuck in no man's land his high risk low reward for domestic guys . I agree with fighting the forgein lads but without a major promoter he won't get good money. Errol won't bring in Murray has a volentary defence for welborn 100%.

There are no 'big' fights moneywise for him (other than Eubank - biggish?) so he has to drop down or quit.

It's a tough question. If anything, he needs to keep busy. No sense waiting around at 36 years old. Whatever, wherever, whoever pays, he should take it. Otherwise he will be a greeter at Tescos before this decade is out.

Could Eddie get him a shot at zeuge? What about a mark time fight for DeGale?

He's not ranked by the WBA, mate & I doubt if they risk Degale about anyone other than a big money fight.

Hmm Murray would be a good fight for Murata actually.

Murray should stay at middleweight.
The middleweight European champion doesn't seem anything special.
Murray is ranked No. 1 by the EBU.
