Correct decision, but I'm sure Haye is financially secure so that helps.

I think I can say we have been frustrated by Haye in recent years by pulling or cancelling fights, I know I have talked I'll of him in the past because of him pulling out of the Fury fight a few years ago and costing the fan money n cancellations.

He's done good and has been good for boxing so it's good to see him leave while he is fit and healthy mentally.

Thank fornicate for that! Tarnished his reputation several times over with the cash-ins whilst knowing he was carrying multiple injuries. Much as I loved his cruiser and early heavy career, I'm really glad to see the back of him and his crappy PPVs.

Genuinely exciting to watch as a cruiserweight, was happy I got to saw the Mormeck win live and the Macca annihilation too. I saw the Ruiz/Harrison fights live also and whilst the first was decent, with a good packed atmosphere the latter was cynical and probably the beginning of the end in terms of his performances. Having to listen to Bunce for about 2 hours afterwards justify the match/performance(s) was even worse.

Glad that he has retired from fighting but delighted that he will still be involved in the sport. He is a bright spark with a lot of wisdom and energy to share -will be a real benefit for the next generation.

Haye wiill always be one of my favourite fighters. He took on the world's best as a amateur and then again as a pro in the Cruiserweight and then Heavyweight divisions, winning World Titles along the way. Which ever way you slice and dice it, that is a very impressive legacy and testamanent to his character and abilities.

Hate to be a cynic but I can only see Haye managing and promoting his fighters' careers in the same cynical way he did his heavyweight career. Shame he's retiring, in spite of the Bellew fights I would like to have seen him have a go at Tyson Fury in some 'unfinished business' type event. Would be an easy sell and have generated plenty of money.

Glad he has retired. Would have liked to have seen him have gone a bit earlier. Always felt he probably should have gone for Vitali that Wlad but think he thought the power would have an affect on Wlad whereas I felt his movement at that stage would have been more of an issue for Vitali.

He definitely helped me really get the bug for going to live boxing events so definitely owe that to him, as no matter all the moaning you read on here about football fans and fights in the crowd etc the 'I was there' moments can't be topped when you are at a major event/see a special performance.

it may be just my perception but Bunce seems to be ever more limited to this kind of role, IE selling the Haye-Bellew 'fights', etc.

Can't say I'm surprised, his "comeback" has been nothing short of a joke.

It was painful. I know he has a lot of history with Aud but it was pathetic listening to him defending both the performance and match for two hours.

I listened to him on Sunday, was in the car for about 3 hours. Had him on R5 talking about Fury. He made a lot of sense but has a habit of like you say, slipping into hyperbolic PR mode. He also seemed to make a fair few assumptions too like his sparring. Then I had 2 hours of Gareth A Davies on TalkSport.

Lol, they had him on some MMA broadcast, he was trying to be a bit 'edgy' and a bit of a personality, it was excruciating.

He likes talking, he was on one.

He can look back on his career with great pride fair play to him

That is the right decision
