No venue yet but Allegedly says ITS ON.
I'm assuming its Stateside as that's where Liam was going to fight Ali.

Only say Munguia once but was VERY impressed.
I really want Smiff to win this though. Would be a great achievement.

Munguia is very likely to be favoured. I'd say, there's some reason behind that.

I rewatched the Ali fight a couple of times and Munguias punch selection, variety and intelligence looked to be very high level. Extremely impressive performance and hes only 21. Ali always had a suspect chin and caught Cotto at the right time but munguia looked like the real deal. He also took Ali's punches as if he had just been punched by a toddler. I'd say there's a very high possibility of smith getting starched

Munguia looked very good last time out in his first step up. Huge for the weight and looks a serious puncher.
As much as some don't like him, Smith is at the least a proper test for Munguia. Naturally bigger, stronger and tougher than Ali. Didn't disgrace himself at all against Canelo so if Munguia was to blast him out then it'd be a big statement.

Your in a minority there young fella.
I was hoping for a one sided conclusive beatdown, followed by a mid fight retirement inducing KO.
Each to their own I guess

There’s a rumour Paul is back in the gym helping him prepare. I’m having a few quid on beefy if he is.

Fight probably to be held in New York or Los Angeles.
It would be smart to introduce Munguia to L.A. and have him fight before it's huge Mexican population.
He's has the looks of a superstar-in-waiting, at least to Latino fight fans.
He should blow by the willing Smith, who is durable but limited.
Munguia could become a Pipino Cuevas type attraction.

According to Dan Rafael it'll be at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Machado vs Mensah and Andrade vs Falcao on the undercard.

decent fight, ali was a 2nd or 3rd tier ww in reality, smith is a legit sized 154 pounder and i think defo stronger and more durable then ali, doubt jessie vargas wouldve ironed him out
before i really get excited about mung he needs to get a win like this, ali was just so physically overmatched, was at 132 in the ams actually and was fragile even at 147

I like the look of Munguia, I expect him to pound Smith into retirement in brutal fashion.
Smith will just walk forward high guard no head movement. He will be a much easier target than Sadam Ali.
I'll enjoy watching it.

Smith took a lengthy pounding from Canelo before succumbing to body shots.
I would think he'll hang in there with Munguia too. Perhaps stopped late.
Munguia is hardly the seasoned fighter that Canelo is.
It might be more difficult for the Mexican than most predict.
A dominating and quick performance by Munguia stamps him as a star.

With Smith being an arse after the first Liam Williams i'd love nothing better than seeing him get a good beating, couldn't stand listening to Smigga either should Smith win.

Good fight this, is Smith getting thrown to the wolves or does FW think he’s got a great chance of upsetting the young champion ?

Munguia an unknown quantity. Smith his best opponent so far. Calculated risk on all sides.
