Just how good is this guy? He's -1800 vs Viktor Postol? Dang is the Pistol that far gone? Yeah his only loss was to Bud but apparently he looked really poor in his last fight against a bum. Still this is a guy that beat Matthysse. The books seem to think hes shot to hell suddenly or that Taylor is the real article. Or both. Probably both.

I jumped on Taylor when he was lower at -1200 and -1500 and I think I overpaid. -800 to -1000 when it opened was about right. I picked Taylor to beat Ohara Davies and will ride this train as long as it runs.

I can't confidently pick a winner.
Taylor hits hard and Postol is tough. And while I do think Postol has slipped a tiny bit, he has way more experience.
What I do know is it should be a great fan friendly fight. Neither of these guys is exactly timid.

Even if Postol is faded a bit, Taylor facing him is a LOT more ambitious than Prograis settling for a bottom-feeder like Argentine Velasco in his next bout.

All the British fans like myself rate Josh Taylor very highly.
I think he may be the best 140lb fighter right now. He just need to prove it.

I think the 140s have been pretty weak in depth for some time. Postol has been top 5 ish for a long time but normally it woyld equate to just top 10. I agree JT will win. Great Matchmaking.

Very aggressive matchmaking too. While I admire the confidence and ambition, at the same time I think there's nothing wrong with the slower more methodical approach, so a fighter can truly learn his craft before being thrown in with the lions.
Postal may be that old lion missing a few teeth, but it's still pretty rapid progression. You don't bother with crawling once you have learned to walk so after Postal it'll be someone equally ambitious or more so.
I guess his management team know what they're doing.

Still that's the best win of anyone at 140 right now. Postol was really good tonight, I didn't score but I think the knockdown just about gave Taylor the fight.
