Jermall the middleweight?

Jermell the light middleweight?

How unlikeable are these two? I can't even look at them. Did you see these 2 idiots at ringside for the Spence Jr fight with the sunglasses on, same haircuts, dressed up like pimps. I'd love to see them both get beaten.

Jermell will be the first Charlo to lose though. I thought that he looked horrible against Trout and he was predicting a KO. Jermall is nasty and THE fighter to avoid at MW. GGG 5 years ago would beat him but I think that GGG could taste the canvas now against Jermall. He's got lead in his hands.

At least it'll be easier to keep track of which is which 'cause one will then be simply Charl ... :) ...

Yeah but that's what's great about boxing ... you get to see an arrogant, undefeated fighter get demolished ... right before your eyes ... for all the world to see ...

I always look forward to that ... especially when he's fighting an older, almost worn-out, once-promising journeyman who the boxing world has pretty much given-up on ... but who ends up teaching the upstart a lesson he will never forget ...

I cant stand these 2 idiots too, but they are very good fighters. I would favor Golovkin, Alvarez and Jacobs over Jermall Charlo, but he can make that fights competetive. His defense is pretty average and that will cost him fight against these 3. Hard to say who can beat Jermell Charlo at 154. Jarett Hurd taking sooo many clean shots but if he can absorb them, he can wear down Charlo. Errol SPence can beat him too if he will go up to 154. That is my opinion :box:

Jermall, not because he is not as good, but because at middleweight he has more opposition.

Aren't Jermell and Hurd supposed to fight next? Then Jermell is losing his 0.

Nothing has been confirmed. It's looking likely they could fight this year. Hopefully.

Think back a couple of years, Jermall looked even worse when he fought Trout than Jermell did.

He's looked like a monster because he's fought terrible opposition, and being bigger, carries more power. Undersized/overrated J-Rock, crippled Heiland, Sulecki's bitch Centeno, and 42 year old K9 is closer to bum of the month club than a murderer's row - and those are his best opponents. You can be nasty against opponents who offer no threat.

It will be interesting to see how he does against the likes of Golovkin, Saunders, Jacobs and Canelo. My bet is all 4 beat him. At this stage, I'd make him roughly 50-50 with Derevyanchenko, and only a slight favourite against Murata. He needs to show more. As explosive as he's looked, he's done a lot less than Quillin did, so far at 160, and where's he now?

IF he's not protected, Jermall loses first. Hurd can be outboxed, and Jermell has the sharper skills.

They'll both lose at some point, but I suspect Jermall will lose first.

Jermell hasn’t always been the better boxer either. That fight when he won his world title, he was behind on scorecards.

I feel for me it's more than Jermall is surrounded by a wider variety of guys that I think could take him. Jacobs, GGG I would pick to beat Jermall...and I'd consider Saunders, Canelo and maybe a few others to be 50/50 matchups with him at the weight.

We'll see how they do going forward. Jermell will definitely have his hands full with Hurd though for sure. I'd favor him over everyone else at 154.

Hurd reveals he had shoulder surgery this week.

Should be on the shelf for a while.

Lara wants to fight Charlo now for the WBC crown.

So possible unification bout between Charlo and Hurd is apparently off until next year.

Appreciate jermalls resumes not the greatest but who’s is really. He certainly looks the goods. Strong puncher with poise and good fundamentals. Feel like he has a style to trouble them all.

Having said that I would love someone to upset him. Not likeable, overly aggressive - reeks of arrogance. Whether that’s over confidence or not hopefully he’ll be tested soon but who knows these days.

Buddy, I spent about 20k in PPVs to see it happen to Floyd and he never even came close really. He owes me some dough.

i dont see how you could possibly use the trout fights to say jermell will defo lose before jermall, contrary to jermalls monster image he wasnt much better then trout, in reality that was every bit as competitive as jermells fight with trout

and unlike pretty much every other top fighter who faced trout, jermall couldnt score a kd or stoppage....jermell, canelo, hurd, lara, (and dan dawson) all made dents in trout when they landed, but jermall couldnt

jermall does look really good in general, but really strange to use trout to say he's >>>>jermell, but of course it is the clown caldo making that comment,, errorl spence is p4p #1 in march but not even top 10 now

Both couldn't finish a beaten Trout. Pretty much they are carefully matched. I want to see in 2018 Jermall vs Jacobs and Jermell vs Hurd. :OhYes:

Hurd did a good job on Trout.

After that, I kinda thought Jermell would be able to stop him too, but he tried too hard to stop him. Didn't work out.

jermell looks best when hes boxing off the back foot, i think hes gotten some good kos and fell in love with his power at times, he was big time ko seeking in that fight where he was down on the cards, and i think thats what caused his problems. jermall is much more natural as an agressor imo, and jermell as a good stick and mover who imo seems a bit faster then his brother

Just going on interviews but I get the impression rightly or wrongly, that Jermall is loud, cocky, brash, arrogant, obnoxious because that's the way he is, and Jermell comes across as loud, cocky, brash, arrogant, obnoxious because that's the way his brother is and expects him to be.

He does seem to me to be the junior partner but I've not seen as much of them as many on here because I don't watch a lot of interviews, other than immediately post fight. In other words I fully accept I could be talking bollocks - who's to say people are always showing their true colours in interviews anyway.

What does that have to do with the thread question? Well if my impression is correct then Jermall has the greater self belief and mental strength and I'd expect him to be harder to beat because of it.
