Gilberto Ramirez vs Roamer Alexis Angulo

Ramirez defends his WBO Super Middleweight title against unbeaten banger Angulo this Saturday live on allegedly, Ramirez's 3 unbeaten opponent in a row, Ramirez's stock seems to be falling since becoming world champ mainly due to the lack of big fights, the Bursak defence was poor and he really should've got Bursak out of there, Hart was a good test though, Ramirez fought a clever fight that night against what I thought was a decent opponent, even in his last fight against Ahmed I thought he looked as good as ive seen him, I'm not actually sure how good Ahmed actually was but he looked strong and was game and he took a shot very well but Ramirez broke him down with clever pressure
I don't recognise anyone on Angulo's record apart from a couple of journeymen type names who he beat in Germany, he spent his whole career roaming by the looks of it, he's 23-0(20KOs) so he could be dangerous, I really like Ramirez though I think he's the best at 168 and even if Angulo is dangerous early Ramirez hopefully takes over to get the W and maybe even set up all Mexico Benavidez unifcation

Poor.
Yet another no name for a fighter I actually rate.

I had Ramirez winning a wide 120-110 but it was one of the flattest performances of his career, he really struggled to nail Angulo clean and was never really able to penetrate his defence over the whole 12 rounds, if Angulo wasn't so lazy then this could've been a closer fight and maybe even a different outcome, Angulo was dangerous and in the odd times he did let his hands go he was able to land and even hurt Ramirez a couple of times, Ramirez to his credit reacted well when tagged and showed good conditioning to ride out the storms, Angulo had that high guard and done a great job of making Ramirez miss but his offense was so bad that Ramirez didn't even have to land too cleanly to pick up rounds
Poor fight all round but a wide win for Ramirez despite having an off day, pudenda like Angulo piss me off, have a world title within their grasp but too lazy to want it

I hadn't known until afterwards that Angulo had never been past 8 rounds
He did OK going 12 for the first time, especially in a *world title fight*
Zurdo says afterwards (again);
"I want to unify the division"
Yeah right mate. There are 3 bekt holders and at least 3 not belt holders in the division that would have something to say about that
IF ONLY YOU WOULD FIGHT THEM.

Ramirez is talented but these fights are a waste of time.
Top Rank are not progressing him the way they should.
He needs to fight the Grives v Smith winner
