OK, now that that's out of the way & he's shaken a wee bit of ring rust off by belting out that no-hoper it's time for him to schedule a real fight. I still think that a bout against fellow Long Island native Sean Monaghan is an ideal fight for both of them. I know that they're with different promoters but they would be horribly remiss if they allowed this one to slip by without taking place.

Who promotes them both?
When Hearn announced his deal I thought those were 2 signings he should make. Both apparently sell a few tickets but don't appear to be very active.

Glad to see him back in the win column after his last outing. He showed great heart fighting through that.

would enjoy joe vs salamov/hooper/yarde/shabransy/lee
sean monaghans probably a very sensble one for joe from reward vs danger perspective...although feel joe batters sean and as not as interestng to me as joe vs the other guys. joe unlike sean is a legit respectable top 15-20 guy and not a gimmick
joe fought his way up to be a contender...sean just got cans cherry selected for him then got battered when he finally stepped up to fight at top 10 guy. whereas joe stopped two top 10 guys then dropped another in a losing effort. bernard hop at 70 would clown sean.

Sean is so carefully matched, they would never risk him against Joe.
Joe Smith is a top ten LHW. Sean isn't.

Star Boxing- Smith
Top Rank- Monaghan (Unless they aren't anymore, then nobody I know of).
