Do you think the fight could still be made or will we get another Warren "he wants to be paid so you will not see this fight" situation.

made hopefully, would be a good scrap and a winnable fight for Joe C. My faith in frank w though is at an all-time low so I won't hold my breath..

Interesting that Joe did not want the fight with Clinton.
Was it he would have had to give up his belt, and the fact Johnson had signed to fight Jones Jr.
And almost everybody thought Johnson would lose, and Jones Jr. would have tied the title up with a Tarver re-match which would have left Calzaghe out in the cold.

I have always thought that Clinton moved up in weight a few years ago because he could not compete with the good group of young super middles we had then.

I do hope the Calzaghe and Johnson fight can be made. I still favour Calzaghe, but I think it could be closer than I previously thought.

Woods moved up as he was killing himself to make 168, he's a big lad.

Was it just me then who thought that Johnson didnt look that good against Jones??

He just spent the whole night wailing away and landing very little. Its just that Jones was even worse, and couldnt help getting hit with every half-thrown shot. If you look at the knock-out shot even that didnt appear to land completely flush but looked more like a cuff.

I would expect an on-form Calzaghe to beat Johnson comfortably, although how on-form he can be now after so much inactivity and b-level opponents I wouldnt like to say..

yeh I just don't believe that any fights a warren fighter talkas about are going to happen.
