It went down the memory hole. It never happened. Round 7 was just a normal round, Wilder badly beating up Ortiz. 40 secs left in round 7 Ortiz hurt Wilder

Ortiz spent the last 40 secs throwing wild shots, with Wilder trying to hold. He was hurt bad but never came close to going down.

The bell rang...the ref separated them.. and Wilder went to his corner.

The corner worked on Wilder for one minute and gave instructions.

After 60 seconds, the bell rang. The ref immediately called timeout and led Wilder to the ringside doctor.

The doctor took less than 10 seconds to examine Wilder, at which point the ref took Wilder back to his original corner....signaled the timekeeper and restarted the eighth round. The entire time from the original bell to the restarted round was at most 15 seconds.

What was it then, the eighth round and not the 7th when the tooth fairies intervened? Could you be so kind as to provide the link, because I sure wasn't able to find an unedited video of the fight, particularly the round in question?

It’s not a link. It is a live recording of the fight off Showtime (I was at the fight ) that is still on my TV.

I would record it from my IPad And post it if I knew how to do that on the message board.

But it goes exactly how I described it.

Wilder hurt at the end of the 7 th round......holds on to make it to the bell......they give him 15 extra seconds to recover at the start of the 8th......fight goes on.

Well yeah, of course they show the finish over and over and over, but where is round 8 (yes it was round 8) when Wilder was on queer street so they stopped the round to give him an "examination" (rest)? The guy above claims he just saw it, but no link, and when I politely asked for his link, he's gone. I sure couldn't find it. I don't think anyone can. I think they've memory holed it.

Nothing weird happened in round 8......other than a 15 second doctor exam before the round started.,,,,but you actually know this and the troll behavior is just performance art.

its just bizarre to keep bringing this up. i thought it was strange last time bit player started a thread on it months after the fight, and now this guy here goes and does it even after that and just keeps rambling on for months. get over it bruh.

in fact i encourage in this thread people to post as many pro wilder gifs, pics, and videos as possible, maybe that will scare him off

No, read my original post....I said the doctor took less than ten seconds to look at Wilder....when you add in the 2 or 3 seconds it took the ref to call TO and lead Wilder to the corner where the doctor was at and the 2 or 3 seconds it took for Wilder to walk back to his original corner it was about 15 secs total. I covered all that in the original post.

Did you carefully measure the total time of stoppage from when the ref first stopped the round to when it resumed? Upload it to Youtube, but theyll probably immediately delete it claiming copyrite infringement. Theyve scoured round 8 off the internet. There's probably a better way to upload it here...like you could upload it someplace and then link the place. Youll be doing a service toward honesty in boxing. There's a lot of big dirty money riding on Wilder.

Yes, I used the stopwatch on my phone.

I can't think of any examples off the top of my head when the ref called a timeout at the start of a round to have the doctor check a fighter who wasn't cut.

Yes. Depressing actually. Boxing is a pretty meaningless time killer except for those directly involved, but it shows how easily they can be manipulated to follow whatever it is the current party line propagated by their controlled media, in far more important matters, say for instance the wizards behind the screen fancy a war. It works every time.

Really? So now when the home fighter gets in trouble they can just stop the action and have the doctor examine him. Why not? The precedent has been set.
