Best fighter to come out of Philly since Hopkins? Sky is limit for this kid. Ultra talented.

Ennis could well be the best Philly fighter since B-Hop but he still needs to take that step up. Even though ALvarez was undefeated he was clearly not on Boots' level.

Ennis is a fluid switch-hitter who does good body work but Alvarez was not good enough to provide him the test he needs after 21 pro fights!! JAron is definitely worth watching in the future though.

promoter Victory Promotions, Hard Hitting Promotions - Will Ruiz

MY PRE FIGHT BREAKDOWN:
Ennis was the busiest Prospect in Boxing at some point with 17 fights in 20 month. He is an explosive stalker with quick hands and good body work.

Serrano lacks that big win in 2018, Ennis could be just that. Serrano has been durable at WW so a stoppage win by Ennis would be a statement.

Jaron Ennis 21 0 0
vs
Raymond Serrano 24 5 0

Ennis dropped Serrano thrice for the win

Nice win for Ennis. He is slowly but steadily improving the caliber of his opposition. It's easy to get impatient with the cautious approach his handlers are taking but he probably wont be challenging for a world title until he's had 28-30 bouts. Since he's only 21, I guess slow progress is a luxury he can afford at this point in his career.
