I'd pick Moorer for sure. He was a smarter and more polished boxer. And he proved it competing on the higher level.

Moorer had pretty good power in HW division, while Adamek was completely feather-fisted. Moorer by UD or late TKO.

Moorer on points.......but he'll have had to properly work for it, taken some lumps and bumps and had a few rounds where he looked less than in control and his cage was rattled.
Adamek never, ever went away with that rock hard mental and physical toughness and his proven ability to get at folk at some point; he'd have surely found a way to give a proper Moorer a fight.
Mike wins it but he does not enjoy it - it is a rough night at the office - and Adamek rolls on to his next challenge.

Moorer totally controls bout and wins by KO. Adamek way out of his league.

I agree Moorer wins Tuan because Moorer was a step too far class-wise........
......but Adamek was hard as heck and I think he had the ability to make this messy at times. We're talking about a very fit and strong man, who could throw a lot of punches, produce pressure and who was hugely determined as well.
Adamek always struck me as a guy who found a way to compete/make the technically better boxer have a scrap. I thought that Banks and Cunningham were slicker, quicker with their hands but Adamek still got to them.

Sometimes. Since you mentioned Cunningham, the 1st fight was indeed great, but the rematch not really, and Adamek was lucky to get away with SD. And he really had no clue against Dawson, which could be some indication for possible fight with Moorer (both were quick southpaws).

I like Adamek but he couldn't so much as wobble glassy old punch bags luke Grant and McBride. He has nothing to worry Moorer and trying to be active opens him up to all sorts of punishment. I can only see the Pole getting ground down.

Fair call Tuan............and I suppose that I've really been thinking about Adamek and MM meeting at Cruiser where he did some pretty decent business.......rather than covering these two meeting at Heavyweight.
And of course MM gave the cruisers a miss.
I liked Adamek as well, not the most gifted fighter but he used what he'd got and to the max, his resume is surprisingly good and he did not do too many dull fights.

Michael Moorer
The issue was his mental status? To me Michael Moorer was a beast till that fight vs Bert Cooper, then, something changed somewhere mentally. Maybe just me guessing but that's the feeling I get.
Tomasz Adamek on the other hand wasn't as great as a boxer as Michael Moorer but he had the mental strength to rock anyone.
So Michael Moore 94, would still pick him as a winner but it would be a close fight
Michael Moore 91/92, would finally tko Tomasz Adamek

More interesting is the Moorer of the early 2000s vs 2011 Adamek. Moore in the mid 90s was clearly better then Adamek.

Also more interesting than the original OP: Adamek vs Moorer at light-heavy....
