Provoke the situation... of choking a woman?
The only time such behaviour is acceptable is if someone's asked you to do it for mutually consensual kinky sexy-time reasons, which as this was outside against a fence it's obviously not the case.
Whether he did it or not, I can see someone digging for that angle, maybe even I'd let it go without saying anything. But implying that there is a situation where the alleged offence is justifiable means that you, sir, are a complete & total fuckwit.

She may have attacked him with some sort of weapon.
Then it's self defense. And self defense is justifiable no matter what the gender.

I don't know who called the police.
Sometimes the perp does it as a way to look like the innocent victim.
Or the woman may have started the whole incident and then called the police for protection once Charlo got the upper hand.
Honestly, i don't know. I never said that Charlo was innocent. He may be guilty as hell.
I'm just defending him until the entire story comes out. And reminding everyone that just because a woman is involved, it doesn't mean she has a free pass to do whatever she wants while the man has to suck it up.
Male or female, you gotta pay your dues.

Yeaaah Perhaps she was a North Korean spy and Jermell went for her throat to stop her yelling secret information to her contact hiding the other side of the fence that he would have reported back to little rocket man. Jermell could be a national hero but there you go jumping to conclusions and assuming he's the bad guy.
Never thought of that did ya?

Come on man.
There's levels to appropriate responses. If a ten year old kid calls you a bitch I hope your response isn't the same as if a mugger has pulled a knife on you. Get outta here with that pay your dues crap.

You're right Punchy. I wouldn't sh*t myself and run away if a ten year old calls me a bitch. Not unless he's a tough looking ten year old of course.

Nah, I leave that to the conspiracy theorists. CNN.
For all we know, Jermell might be taking the rap for Jermall.

From what I understand, cops in many cities (but not all) are prohibited from using a strict chokehold but they can use a very similar stranglehold which applies pressure on the carotid artery.
That's pretty effective, nevertheless.
Imagine a cop fighting for his life in a struggle with some resisting cretin....and being told he has to play nice.
Ludicrous. Whatever works, use it.

Both of the Charlo brothers have difficulty controlling their emotions. Especially Jermell. I've seen Jermall have to calm his brother down in certain instances.

In interviews, even in post fight interviews they go off. Interestingly though they are very controlled in the ring from what I’ve seen.
