Who would win between Mike Weaver who won the WBA Heavyweight title in a stunning comeback against "Big" John Tate vs. Ossie "Jaws" Ocasio the future WBA Cruiserweight Champion who fought Larry Holmes for his WBC Heavyweight title? In my opinion, Weaver would hurt Ocasio throughout the fight and stopped him in 12 out of 15 rounds. What is your opinion?

Ocasio would have had a good start probably, but would have been caught eventually by Weaver.

Weaver had good stamina for a musclebound fighter and he would prove too determined over the 15-round distance, with the cute Ocasio probably lasting the course but only just.

Ossie would have his moments, but he would really feel the heat in the 13th round, when Weaver kayoes him.

Holmes took Ocasio out in 7. Weaver would do the same, maybe 3 rounds later. To this day I have no idea where that left hook came from that took out Big John Tate.

Weaver was poor in that fight.

He was out fought vs Tate throughout. Amazing last second (almost literally) punch.

Would be interesting to see what Michael Dokes thinks. Had a draw and a TKO1 against them both.

I remember watching the first Dokes-Ocasio fight. Actually thought Ocasio should have got the decision. In the rematch, Dokes came out blazing.

Shame he is dead now. Probably would be a great interview. I think Ocasio said the left hook Dokes caught him with, he never saw.

I think it was the fifth round when ocasio hit does with the biggest right hand he's ever landed.
